DESCRIPTION

There is a need to classify correctly the phenomenon of bribery and distortions of administrative action, without forgetting that the quali-quantification of these phenomena is extremely complex, because the eponymy between corruption and the myriad of pipelines, illegal or not, which - for various reasons and so everyday language - there includes, not allowed to date, at least this is the impression, the identification of a universal language shared and universally recognized in the field. The alternative is to live day by day in the rain at all depressing statistics compared to a "moral issue" that constantly, almost like an underground river, resurfaces in the political and social debate. Indulging, perhaps, in risky estimates of the phenomenon or in comparisons, equally risky, with ages past: so, for example, the prof. Emanuele Narducci in his essay "Processes politicians in ancient Rome" for Laterza, after having criticized the habit of those who "... could not resist the temptation to venture into the risky terrain of parallel calculations ...", in the face of such statements as "... the corruption of political life and public administration in ancient Rome was extremely higher than the current size ...", he asks, not without irony, as the author has done with determination to keep the secret of this test and not attached demonstrated by reference to parameters known only to himself and eluding with joy a number of obvious questions.
