Part 1
There will be a big sale in the shopping mall close to the hotel you are staying in during your
course in England. Write a short e-mail to your colleague from the course, in which you will
inform him/her:
how long the sale lasts.
Be sure to complete all the tasks above.
Suggested time: 10 minutes Suggested length: 50 words.
Part 2
You have been to the shopping mall for the big sale. Write an e-mail to your friend in which
you will:
describe the shopping mall and the area around it;
tell him/her how you spent your time there, and;
give him/her detailed directions how to get from your hotel to the shopping mall.

How effectively can modern military forces adapt to fighting and working among civilian
population.

Consumption of material goods in some developing countries is quickly reaching Western
proportions. For instance, some developing countries are being asked to comply with
environmental regulations which many developed countries did not have to observe until
recently.
Discuss whether it is fair to require more from developing countries nowadays than it
was required from the latter ones in the past.
Speculate on how these new regulations might consequently affect developing
countries.
Remember: You will be assessed on the content, organization, logical development, and
complexity of your essay as well as richness and precision of your vocabulary and grammar,
