Company analyses using the RepRisk® IndexIRepRisk® works with the RepRisk® Index (RRI), a risk barometer which captures criticism and quantifies a company’s or project’s exposure to environmental and social issues. It does not measure a company’s over-all reputation, but rather it is an indicator of its repu-tational risks. The RRI ranges from zero (lowest) to 100 (highest). The index is calculated based on the importance of the information sources, the frequency and timing of the news, as well as the novelty and se-verity of the news content. It facilitates an initial as-sessment of the risks associated with investments or business relationships, and allows a company’s expo-sure to be compared with that of its peers.
The RRI pinpoints companies which have recently made negative headlines. Companies exposed to a lot of criticism in the past are less sensitive to new al-legations. If no new criticism is captured, the RRI of a company will drop to zero over a two year period. The index is not influenced by the sequence of news.
The Wealth Management package for threats and reputational comparisonsGeared to meet the demands of asset managers, the Wealth Management package allows users to track current and general threats facing a company. It is also possible to compare reputational risks of various companies in the same sector.
News and background information in the Treasury & Risk and Asset Management packagesThe Treasury & Risk and Asset Management packages contained in Telekurs iD publish negative news about a company as well as clustered reports for two-month periods. This information is embedded in the Telekurs iD Analyses Viewer.
