Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Grace and peace. If there was ever a time

that we as Christians in particular, and the

evangelical church in general, should pause and

give thanks to the Lord for what He has done in

this nation as well as examine and learn what

the Lord has providentially accomplished in and

through America, that time is now.

This Sunday evening, July 1 at 6:00 p.m., we are extraordinarily blessed to

have Guy Penrod and his band who will fill the Worship Center with praise

and worship and a patriotic musical montage that will be an extraordinary

blessing. Each year this is a wonderful service, albeit a bit different this

year as I will be giving a ten-minute presentation (before Guy’s abbreviated

concert) that I will keep a surprise for now!

Please invite and bring along any and all who have served our country

in the Armed Forces as we honor our veterans and the era in which they

served. As many of you know, this is a highlight in the life of Briarwood and

a wonderful outreach event. But most of all, it is a time to praise God for His

providential blessings to our nation and to commit ourselves individually

and corporately as a congregation to a renewal of heart for a Gospel

awakening throughout our land. I look forward to being there with you.

For Christ, the Gospel and His Kingdom,

Pray for Gary and Jackie Burnett who train leaders for children’s ministry in Colombia. They travel to various towns and villages to provide training and to assist those trained to multiply the vision by training others. Pray also for those being trained to draw closer to the Lord and more dependent on His grace to work through them.
