Invitation
Global HR Forum that was first founded in 2006 by the Korean Ministry of
Education, Korea Economic Daily and Korea Research Institute for Vocational
Education & Training will be held in Seoul from November 1 to 3, under the
slogan of 'Global Talent, Global Prosperity!'.
The forum was launched in order to encourage global cooperation for co-
prosperity of the entire human race. Human resources policies and strategies
discussed at our forum will become very useful solutions for current globalissues such as economic inequality, underdevelopment, climate change,
population aging, and job creation.
Due to the changes in dynamics of human capital management generated by the
accelerated globalization, developing more competitive and creative human
talents has become one of the most significant challenges for all countries.
Officials of international organizations and governments, global corporate
executives, world-class university presidents and prominent scholars will join
this year's forum to share their thoughts and ideas on human resources
development.
All the organizers of the Global HR Forum will do our best to find ways to
cultivate creative human talents and build a strong international cooperation
system. We look forward to your interest and participation in our forum. Thank
you!

What is the Global HR Forum? As globalization has rapidly changed our lives, the boundaries
between countries have disappeared and the movement of human
resources from one country to another has become commonplace.
Accordingly, governments, international organizations, companies,
and individuals are required to be globally competitive.
The reason global competitiveness of human resources is a key
issue is that now everyone, and not just a small number of elites in
specialized fields, must compete against one another in order to
survive in the world. Because human resources are the foundation
where the prosperity of individuals, businesses, society, and the
world is built upon, the governments, businesses, and educational
institutions must join efforts to improve the education, training, and
utilization of human resources.
In response, the Korean Ministry of Education, Korea Economic Daily,
and Korea Research Institute for Vocational Education and Training
recognized the needs for international cooperation and collaboration, and thus initiated the Global HR Forum in collaboration with the
private sector in 2006.
What are the primary goals of
the Global HR Forum?- Find solutions for the major on-going global issues that the entire
human race is facing
- Share creative, valuable experiences and cases of human resources
development in government, public and private sectors
- Discuss significant factors of human resources development for
the future generations in terms of global perspectives

Speaker TestimonialsIt is critical that we improve our understanding about
how the private and public sectors can work in
partnership to support human resources development
around the world. Im pleased that the Global HR Forum
is taking place in Korea. By participating in this forum,
youll have the opportunity to play an important role in
addressing the vital human resources issues.
Bill Gates, Chairman of Microsoft
(Congratulatory Speech, Global HR Forum 2006)
I really expect that Global HR Forum will be the best
way to seek for the resolutions against accumulated
future challenges.
- Bill Clinton, Former President of the United States
(Keynote Speech, Global HR Forum 2007)
Knowledge-sharing endeavors such as Global HR
Forum are crucial to our collective efforts to meet thechallenges ahead. Global problems demand global
solutions, and approaches need to be informed by the
vision of both thinkers and practitioners by leaders
in every field, such as all of you.
- Ban Ki-moon, Secretary General of United Nations
(Congratulatory Message, Global HR Forum 2007)
Education may be the only solution to overcome
current global economic crisis and economic inequality
issues. I think Global HR Forum will work as a place to
find the best ways of growing talented global leaders, and giving hopes and supports to people through
education.
- Park Geun-hye, President of the Republic of Korea
(Congratulatory Speech, Global HR Forum 2012)
This is an innovation-creating forum that is now a
landmark not just in Korea and in this continent, but
recognized as a very important event around in every
continent in the world.
- Gordon Brown, Former Prime Minster of the United Kingdom(Keynote Speech, Global HR Forum 2012)
