WHY SPORT AND PLAYPlay is not a luxury; it helps teach im-portant life lessons and provides a retreat from everyday hardships.

HOW WE MAKE A DIFFERENCERight To Play is a global organization that uses the transformative power of play to educate and empower children facing adversity.

We use sport and play to help children, youth and their communities to over-come the effects of poverty, conflict and disease by engaging girls, persons with disabilities, children affected by HIV/AIDS, street children, former child combatants and refugees.

WHERE WE WORK WHAT WE DO. WE EDUCATE.

We Help Children Learn by improving academic performance using games as a tool for education, fostering physi-cal, cognitive and social development.

We Promote Health by encouraging physical fitness, mobilizing communi-ties around national health issues, and educating about disease prevention priorities including HIV/AIDS, malaria and immunization.

We Build Peace by teaching conflict resolution and peace building skills, while helping heal children and com-munities affected by war.

We Develop Communities by en-gaging local staff and volunteers and partnering with local organizations to build infrastructure.

WHO IS IN OUR TEAM Our programs are facilitated by more than 600 international staff and 13,500 volunteer Coaches. Coaches are local leaders and teachers who are trained in our specially designed programs. They implement the activi-ties based on the needs of their com-munities. We also encourage lead-ership at all ages by providing youth with such opportunities.

IN COOPERATIONWorking with international, national and local partners (UNICEF, UNHCR et al.), funders and local communities, Right To Play designs every program to meet identified community needs.

ATHLETE AMBASSADORSIn addition to our staff and Coaches, we are supported by a global network of professional and Olympic athletes from more than 40 countries, such as Dario Cologna, Frank Lampard, Viktor Röthlin, Bernhard Russi or Aksel Lund Svindal. As role models, these ath-letes inspire children and lend their voice to the cause.

OUR HISTORYRight To Play International was found-ed in 2000 by Johann Olav Koss, a so-cial entrepreneur and four-time Olym-pic gold medalist in speed skating.
