The Announcement of a Savior

As we continue our Advent series, Luke writes

of The Announcement of a Savior. Generallyspeaking an announcement is a memorablemoment or historical moment in time. There aremany kinds: The announcement of an engagement,a marriage, the birth of a child, a graduation, thedeath of a loved one, and even historicalannouncements for all of humanity. Such is thecase here in Luke 2:8-14.

Mankind was, and still is, living in depravity, brokenby sin and in desperate need of a Savior. Today'stext speaks of the announcement of the fulfillmentof Gods promise of a Savior who would save manfrom his sin. That announcement is just asimportant and promising today as it was more than2000 years ago. Let's look together at thesignificance of this marvelous announcement...TheAnnouncement of a Savior.

Journey Off the Map - VBS 2015

There will be no Youth Group meeting on Wednesday, Dec.

17. Youth Group will meet on Friday, Dec. 19 at 7 - 9:30 pm

for Gingerbread Building Workshop, Sat., Dec. 20 at 10 am -

2 pm for serving at Island Harvest, and at 5 - 10:30 pm for

the Christmas Party. Parents & students, please prepare your

hearts for a fun-filled weekend in which to share the love of

Christ. Dont forget to invite a friend or two!
