Fourteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time
“Come to me all who are weary and carrying heavy burdens. I will give you rest .” Why do we acquire
possessions that we have to worry about and protect with alarms? Why do we overwork ourselvestrying to stay in control? Are we the problem? Jesus tells us today: “Learn from me…my burden is
light.” It is time to lighten our burden.

Dear Parishioners:
What a truly beautiful showing for the 11:00 Mass, your participation was really terrific. The singing,
most notable, was great. I felt very uplifted. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
I also want to take this opportunity to express my overwhelming thanks for the outpouring of
specifically selected gifts, money offerings, cards, notes, bakery items with recipes, and all the gardening
tips that I have received from you. In addition, many of you expressed what it meant for you to have me
as your Parochial Vicar. I was touched by your encounters with me as you so beautifully expressed.
Sometimes, one never knows the impact we have on each other. Thank you for offering your
experiences and I will thank God for His great example to follow.
As I move on to the pastorate of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Cuyahoga Falls, I will continuewith God’s grace to do as I can and am able. I am very happy to have this chance to minister in the
church as a pastor with a school. You all are unforgettable in many ways. I will miss you, thank you
once again for begin the good people that you are and all that you have given to me.
Many Blessings,
Father Jim Singler

Thank youfor giving the children of VBS such wonderful supplies to encourage their creativeness as they carried outGod’s recipe through art!

“LIVING WITH CHRIST”: we realized recently that the prayers from July 3 –August 14 in Living with Christ
Sunday Missal are incorrect. To ensure that you have the appropriate readings, we have posted the
correct prayers online at www.livingwithchrist.us under the “Today’s Readings” tab. For those who do
not have computers, simply call 800-321-0411 and a copy of the corrected prayers will be shipped to
you at no additional cost. We apologize for the inconvenience.
The Elizabeth Ministries make a gift basket for each child baptized in Saint Augustine Church. This ismade possible by all the generous people that supply them with homemade blankets, afghans,
crocheted outfits, bibs as well as bottles, diapers, wipes, toys, books, clothing etc. Thank you for the
overwhelming donations that continue to come in, what a reflection of love to the little ones.
Stewardship Corner: Much will be required of the person entrusted with much, and still more will be
demanded of the person entrusted with more. Lk 12:28
