The black-tie gala on Wednesday May 20th at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver was the scene of the 10th annual Business Laureates of BC Hall of Fame Gala Dinner and Induction Ceremonies. Created by Junior Achievement of British Columbia, the Hall of Fame honours those who helped build our province and inspire youth to become the Laureates of tomorrow. The three 2015 Laureates are:

• Brandt C. Louie, President, CEO and Chairman, London Drugs Limited

• Je� erson Mooney, Chairman, A&W Food Services of Canada Inc.

In honour of the 10th anniversary of the gala, the ten pio-neer Laureates inducted this year are Nathaniel (Nat) Ryal Bailey, Founder and President, White Spot Limited; Henry Ogle Bell-Irving, Founder, Anglo-British Columbia Packing Co. Ltd.; Jennie Butchart, Creator, Butchart Gardens; Earl B. Finning, Founder, Finning Tractor & Equipment Company Ltd.; Hok Yat Louie, Founder and President, H.Y. Louie Company Limited; David Oppenheimer, Founder (and former Vancouver Mayor), The Oppenheimer Group; John Prentice, Chairman, Canfor Corporation; Benjamin Tingley Rogers, Founder, BC Sugar/Rogers Sugar; Dick (Percy Ritchie) Sandwell, Founder and First President, Sandwell Engineering; and Howard Allan Simons, Founder and President, H.A. Simons Ltd.

Proceeds from the gala support Junior Achievement’s work to provide � nancial literacy, work readiness and entre-preneurship programs to over 32,000 youth across the province.
