But before we get eating, we have to warm up and get our appetites going! And we are going to do that by playing a game that is about basic Chinese cooking! [refer to slides GKidz to provide] APPETIZER GAME CHINESE COOKING 101 Instructions
1. The game is similar to scissors, paper, stone. 2. The first action that you can do is to be like me, a CHEF! The action for “chef” is like this (do
frying action with both hands) 3. The second action is OIL. The action for OIL is (sprinkling action with both hands in the air).
CHEF wins OIL because the chef is the one who heats up the oil and makes it hot 4. The third action is ONION. The action for ONION is (chopping action on the other hand). OIL
wins ONION because the oil turns the onion from white to brown and crispy. 5. ONION wins CHEF because when the chef chops the onion, the onion juice makes him cry. 6. When I give you the signal, everyone will find someone to partner with and play with. You’ll count “1,
2, 3” then do your action. Whoever wins will follow behind the person who won, and we’ll see who is the one with the longest line!
