Paul Taught Peter GALATIANS 2

Paul went to Jerusalem . Barnabas and Titus went with him . Paul told the leaders in the church that God wanted him to tell people about Jesus . God told Paul to tell the Gentile people how much God loved them .

The leaders agreed that God wanted Paul to share the good news about Jesus to Gentiles . The leaders welcomed Paul and Barnabas as missionaries to the Gentiles . The leaders asked Paul to teach the Gentiles how to follow Jesus, especially how to care for the poor . Paul agreed .

Later, Peter came to Antioch to see Paul . Paul noticed that Peter stopped eating with the Gentiles . Peter was afraid of what the Jewish people would think of him if he ate with the Gentiles . Peter stayed away from the Gentile Christians . More Jewish Christians began to stay away from Gentile Christians . Even Barnabas stopped eating with the Gentiles .

Paul stood up in front of everyone and told Peter, “It is not right that you stopped eating with the Gentile Christians . The gospel is for everyone both Gentiles and Jews .” Paul reminded him that people are made right with God not because of what they do, but because of what Jesus did for them .

Paul reminded Peter that Jesus lives in His people . People who love Jesus should also love other people even if they are different . Paul taught Peter how to live as a believer in Jesus .
