MAINTENANCE A well-maintained system plays a key role in farm management. The cost of agricul-tural mechanization is an important aspect to preserve the economic-functional value of machines and implements increasing their lifespan and reducing breakdowns and mechanical malfunctions.

BUT …Machine maintenance is on the way to a new age. In the past, a machine had to fail before it could be repaired. Today, intelli-gent systems detect a malfunction even before it occurs. Prevention – this simple word covers an entire concept. Intelligent, forward-looking maintenance can lead to enormous cost savings.

BASIC MAINTENANCE – EFFICIENCY THROUGH KNOWLEDGE Agricultural mechanization must guarantee and safeguard the pro-ductive process, ensuring a maximum output without compromising function. Clear and compatible information regarding diagnosis, maintenance and periodic inspection is necessary to guarantee reliability of the entire system.

Correct information to guarantee high levels of mechanical and work safety as well as to protect the environment is important to combine technical and environmental regulations.

SMART & PREDICTIVE MAINTENANCE – EFFICIENCY THROUGH PREVENTION Predictive maintenance has become increasingly important. It is linked to terms such as Industry 4.0, Internet of Things (IoT) and Big Data.

At the heart of the matter is maintenance, but operators no longer have to rely on fixed maintenance intervals. Predictive maintenance enables permanent monitoring of components directly on the machine - detecting possible component fail-ures at an early stage. Defective components are identified and replaced independently of the usual maintenance times.

And that’s not all: the continuous data analysis provides users of smart components with a much more precise picture of their machines: operating errors or incorrect settings can be quickly identified and eliminated.
