CITYLINK TULLA WIDENING: POLE INSTALLATION: THURSDAY 3 MARCH TO FRIDAY 11 MARCH 2016

We are writing to inform you about pole installation works that will take place during March as part of the CityLink Tulla Widening project.

As you may be aware, work on the CityLink Tulla Widening project is underway and involves adding lanes and other measures to improve the flow of traffic across the 24 kilometre section of freeway from the CityLink tunnels to Melbourne Airport. The project will provide travel time savings per trip between Melbourne Airport and the West Gate Freeway during peak periods.

. Generally, an additional lane is being added in each direction, as well as upgrades at key interchanges including Bell Street, Mount Alexander Road / Flemington Road and on the Bolte Bridge to West Gate Freeway entry ramp. Once completed, the project will deliver a safer, more reliable freeway.

CPB Contractors (formerly Leighton Contractors) is the construction contractor for the Bulla Road to Power Street section of the project. We would like to notify you of pole installation works during March 2016.

What we are doingInstalling a pole- mounted camera to monitor traffic on the freeway. This will involve: Lifting and installing a pole using a truck- mounted crane Mounting a camera on top of the pole

Where we will beWe will be installing a pole- mounted camera behind Wheeler Street in Pascoe Vale South as indicated on the map below.

When works will occurWorks will occur between 7am to 5pm from Thursday 3 March to Friday 11 March 2016 (excluding the weekend).

The camera will be positioned facing the freeway to only monitor traffic on the freeway. The camera will not be used for any other purpose.

Managing and protecting the environment is also important to us and we are working with local and state government and adhering to environmental laws to ensure the impact to the natural ecosystem is minimised.
