Alex Mitchell is the Co-founder and Director of Young Brits Network (a social enterprise focused on
prompting the views and interests of young entrepreneurs from Britain internationally). He is the Head of Influencer Relations at the Institute of Directors (Europe's largest professional body for company directors). He is also the current UK President of the G20 Young Entrepreneurs Alliance (a global network
of young entrepreneurs and the organisations that support them) and he is the current Vice President of the European Confederation of Young Entrepreneurs (the major association of young entrepreneurs throughout Europe). Alex has also recently co-founded Kit Us Out, a charity setup by four London 2012
Olympic & Paralympic volunteers (Games makers) to get key kit to disabled athletes from developing countries that can‟t afford or don‟t have a kit sponsor.
In addition to these roles Alex is an Ambassador for Global Entrepreneurship Week (the world‟s largest celebration of entrepreneurship) and he is a member of the steering committee for the Commonwealth Secretariats Youth Programme (engaging and empowering young people from 54 countries to enhance
their contribution to development). Previous recent roles Alex has held include being a member of the External Advisory Board of
„vInspired‟ (the UK national youth volunteering charity), a business representative on UK Trade and Invests Asia Task Force (the UK governments agency helping business to export ) and a member of the India UK JETCO.
Prior to taking up his role at the Institute of Directors Alex worked at the Confederation of British Industry (one of Europe‟s leading independent employers ' organisation, representing over 250,000 public and
private sector organisations).

commercial satellite telecom network in 1994 ad was also involved in conceptualisation of National
Securities Clearing Corporation (NSCCL) and National Securities Depository Limited (NSDL).
From 2000-2009, Ashish worked as the Group Chief Information Officer (CIO) of the Reliance group.
In addition to his responsibilities at Reliance Industries Limited (RIL, the flagship company of
Reliance group), Ashish was involved in setting up Information Technology for Reliance
Communications, Reliance Retail, Reliance Oil and Gas, Reliance Life Sciences and several other
businesses within Reliance group. Ashish was ranked amongst the top 50 CIOs in the world by
several magazines and institutions from 2005-2009.
Ashish has won several International and Indian awards in providing the best IT solutions for
different industries he has worked for including stock markets, petrochemicals, telecommunications
etc.
He also served as the CEO of Mumbai Indians – whilst having started his career with Industrial
Development Bank of India (IDBI) as a Project Finance Officer (1991-93).
Ashish holds a B Tech in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Bombay (1989) and PGDM from IIM
Calcutta (1991).
Ashish has made contributions to many books, newspapers, magazines and journals on the subject
of Information technology, market microstructure, financial sector policies, automation of markets,

Bhairavi is a fourth generation entrepreneur and a Director at SCA Group of Companies founded in
1896 by her great-grandfather. She has a Bachelor of Science in Business with Magna Cum Laude
from Miami University, Ohio, USA. Post her graduation in 1999, she worked with KPMG Consulting
in Washington D.C.
SCA Group of Companies undertake activities in port, shipping, customs clearance, warehous ing,
service contracting, freight forwarding, logistics infrastructure building and management, air cargo,
supply chain consultancy and IT.
In 2005, after completing the MyGlobe Executive Education Programme at INSEAD in France, she
moved into the role of the Director for all the companies under the SCA Group. Bhairavi‟s role as
Group Director allows her to work with multiple teams from various companies of the group. She
provides them strategic and operational guidance and is in-charge of new projects, joint ventures
and strategic alliances for the entire group.
In March 2011, she took 18 months out of her business to lead the India@75 efforts full time. Her
role as the Executive Director was to develop, implement and institutionalize a delivery framework
for India@75 while collaborating with the Government, Industry, Civil Society and Citizens at large.
The agenda and delivery framework is now institutionalized as a public trust and post her full time
assignment, Bhairavi continues to be a founding trustee of the India@75 Foundation Trust.

Devita Saraf is Chief Executive Officer of Vu Technologies. Devita completed her schooling at Queen Mary‟s School and

Prof. Dinesh Awasthi, an Economist by training, is Director, Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDI), Ahmedabad. Prof Awasthi has over 50 research papers and six books, besides a number of research studies on

Katherine is the Director and Head of Youth Affairs, Commonwealth Secretariat. She has over 20 years‟ diverse experience in roles across the private, public and civil society sectors and a unique blend of expertise in youth-led social impact, youth enterprise, and youth leadership and volunteering, combined with organisational leadership and development, and cross-sectoral collaboration. Katherine joined the Commonwealth Secretariat as Director and Head of Youth Affairs in March 2012. Luca G. Donelli is now 30 and is responsible for new markets development at Euros, holding
company of Donelli Group. He is also Sherpa of Italian Delegation of Confindustria Young
Entrepreneurs at G20 YEA. He holds a bachelors degree in BA in International Economics and
Management and a MS in General Management at Bocconi University of Milan, both with honours.
In 2008, as a result of a mix of sense of responsibility and willingness to have a riskier, but more
rewarding life, Luca joined the family business. He is now contributing to reposition the Donelli
Group into an international player in the business of coating application, insulation, fire -proofing,
maintenance & finishing services for industrial and civil construction projects.
Since 1911, the Donelli Group mission is to protect (i.e. against corrosion, fire) and enhance the
value of any asset (i.e. industrial sites, petrochemical plants, power generation facilities, offshore
platforms, buildings and civil engineering projects).
Within the company, he manages financial and administrative aspects related to international
projects. He is also introducing and promoting the introduction of innovative energy saving services
and more environmentally friendly technologies. With this aim, he started a division dedicated to
provide Blygold/Thermoguard anti-corrosion technologies and solutions for the Heating, Ventilation
and Air Conditioning market, which generated approx €1m turnover in 2012.
Luca is an active member of Confindustria Young Entrepreneurs. He is the sherpa of the Italian
delegation at the G20 Young Entrepreneurs‟ Alliance. He has recently contributed to the
organization of the 2nd
G20 YEA Leadership Assembly held in Capri. Prior to this important task, he
was also involved in the creation of the MAME YE Network, the Mediterranean, African and Middle
East Young Entrepreneurs Associations‟ Network. He is also the President of the steering committee
of young entrepreneurs at Confindustria Alto Milanese Chapter.
Luca has always been involved in sport activities at a fairly high level for what concerns sailing
(winning in 2006 two double-handed long range regattas in the Mediterranean Sea and ranking fifth
at the 2012 Topper-ISO Eurocup, a double-handed skiff), skiing and team sports (indoor soccer and
basketball). The above have taught him how to be part of and lead a group to accomplish high
standard teamwork.

Mr Maheshwar Rao graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Maths, Economics and Statisics from the Osmania University. He later went on to do a Master’s in economics with focus on econometrics and growth from the University of Hyderabad. He has held several administrative posts in the State of Karnataka. Presently, he is the Commissioner for
Industrial Development and Director of Industries and Commerce and is mainly responsible for policy
formulation, trade development and industrialisation of the State of Karnataka across various spectrums of
investments, sectors and regions. Mr Maheshwar has occupied this post since June 2011.
Earlier, he was the Special Commissioner of the Bangalore City Corporation and has handled issues pertaining
to approval of building plans, infrastructure in the city, and urban renewal in cities. Mr Rao has had the
distinction of having handled delegation visits of the Mayor of San Francisco as part of the San Francisco
sister city programme in late 2009. He has also been the Deputy Commissioner in Dakshina Kannada &
Mandya districts in Karnataka. As the head of the district, he was responsible for all administrative matters.
As deputy commissioner, he had evolved a rehabilitation and resettlement policy for around 500 families
affected by industrial land acquisition for a Government sponsored Special economic Zone project where
around $ 5 billion of investment is proposed, in Mangalore.
Prior to that, he had worked as the Joint Managing Director, Karnataka State Urban Infrastructure and
Finance Corporation, where he was responsible for the preparation of a project for the ADB Assisted Urban
sector initiative and for the negotiation of $ 200 million loan. He was also appointed as the Deputy
Commissioner and District Magistrate of Belgaum & Hassan where, as administrator, he oversaw the
successful turnaround of a sugar factory. He has also worked as an arbitrator to successfully resolve issues
relating to compensation for lands acquired for national highways.
As Chief Executive Officer of Gulbarga Zilla Panchayat, he started the process of participatory planning which
was initiated in order to provide more responsibilities to the Gram Panchayat. He launched the World Bank
assisted water supply projects for Gram panchayats which involved active village level participation especially
with regard to generation of household contributions to fund part of the capital cost.
Apart from his career interests, he happens to be an active sportsperson. He shares an avid interest in
traveling, adventure, fitness as also literature.

Dr Murali Kallummal has been working at the Centre for WTO Studies (CWS), New Delhi in the capacity of Associate Professor. He has been working in this capacity at the CWS since 2003. He has completed his Ph.D. in Economics (with specialisation in Corporate Financing) in 1999 from
Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. The Centre for WTO Studies was set up in the year 2002 to be a permanent repository of knowledge and documentation related to WTO negotiations and other trade agreements. It was also envisaged that the Centre would evolve into a research unit with interest in trade in general and WTO in particular to finally develop into an independent think tank in the area. Over the years, the Centre has conducted a robust research programme with a series of Working Papers and Occasional Papers in all spheres of interest at the WTO. The CWS has been regularly called upon by the Government of India to undertake research and provide independent analytical inputs to help it develop positions in its various trade negotiations, both at the WTO and other forums such as
Preferential and Free Trade Agreements and Comprehensive Economic Cooperation Agreements. He has been performing activities which are mainly in the nature of research with occasional specialised lectures on market access issues in Regional Trade Agreements (RTAs) and the WTO. He has a number of national and international publications to his credit and has also been collating and preparing the web portal on non-tariff measures like the Sanitary and Phytosanitary Measures (SPS) and Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT) since 2003. This database provides a detailed understanding on trade linkages of all the WTO notifications made under the SPS and TBT committees of the WTO.
He has also authored reports based on stakeholder consultations with representatives of industrial clusters identified by the CWS (related to the fourteen Sectoral negotiations of August 2008 draft text). As part of his job, he has been providing inputs for the negotiators and preparing them with answers for queries under the Specific Trade Concern on SPS and TBT measures of India. He has participated in 43 outreach, training and stakeholder consultations undertaken by the CWS & Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) at the national and international level.

Nita Chowdhury is from the 1977 batch of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS). Born in 1954, her

Shaffi Mather was a successful young entrepreneur, who brought a family-run real estate
business to the forefront of the local market before moving on to take major positions at two of
India‟s largest communication corporations -- Essel Group and Reliance Industries. However,
after a perilous ride to the hospital with his mother, he was forced to confront India‟s need for a
dependable ambulance service.
He left his career at Reliance and founded 1298 for Ambulance, a for-profit service with a sliding
scale payment system that has revolutionized medical transport in Mumbai and Kerala.
Mather is also a co-founder of Moksha-Yug Access, a microfinance instiution that operates in
rural India, and The Education Initiative, which is involved in e-learning and in creating schools
across India. In addition, Mather is a lawyer focusing on litigation in public interest -- battling for

Tushar Jani is the Founder Chairman of Blue Dart Express Limited, the premier International and Domestic Courier Company, which was taken over by DHL Express (Singapore) Pte.Ltd in March,
2005. Presently, he is the Chairman of Blue Dart Aviation Limited, the first private air cargo carrier in India having its own fleet of seven aircrafts. He has over 31 years of experience in the Ship ping and Transport Industry, and pioneered inland logistics of sea freight containers to manufacturers.
After finishing his Bachelor of Science degree with Honours from Mumbai University, he joined the 80 year old family business of Clearing & Freight Forwarding as a Management Trainee in 1975. Soon, he turned the business around and became one of the most prominent personalities in the field.

Mr Vishwanath is the Principal Adviser with APJ-SLG Law Offices since April 2009. He works closely with

Mr Zubin is the son of the late Major General R Z Kabraji, AVSM, Ex Hon ADC General to the President of India. Has had a distinguished career with many companies and organizations; in 1980 at the Warrior Electronics as Administrative Officer; between 1981 and 1984 with Emvik Group Of Companies as Administrative Officer of Steel Fabrication; between 1984 and 1988 with the Trinity Forge Pvt.
