Camping is one of the
most valuable experiences
a child can have. It’s a
learning experience that
helps boys and girls
appreciate the outdoors,
live together as a group, get
along with others and
appreciate people with
different interests and
backgrounds.
Many 4th, 5th and 6th
grade boys and girls
participate in 4-H Camp
Grant Walker. The camp is
held at the LSU AgCenter’s
Grant Walker 4-H
Educational Center, an 80-
acre campsite located near
Pollock, LA, on Highway 8
about 15 miles northeast
of Alexandria.
Terrebonne 4-H will be
camping June 30– July 4,
2014.
4-H members leave
on Monday and return
on Friday. Transportation
is provided to and from
camp.
If you are interest-
ed in attending 4-H sum-
mer camp you must complete a Summer
Camp Application and
return it to the 4-H office.
You can get the applica-
tion from your club lead-
er, the 4-H office or the
Terrebonne 4-H website.

Terrebonne 4-H members….. You should be proud!!! There were many
community service projects that took place before Christmas and it
was heart warming to see all the items and time that you donated. Remember,
community service is doing something for someone without expecting anything
in return. Points were not given to school clubs or individually for the blanket
drive, toy drive or military items.
- Over 90 Blankets were donated to the Southeast Louisiana War Veterans
Home in Reserve, Louisiana
- 50 boxes were packed for our military men and women
- A car load of toys (and a $200 donation from St. Matthew’s 4-H) were
brought to the National Guard Office in Baton Rouge
Terrebonne 4-H members are AWESOME!!!
