Introduction: Thermo siphon solar collectors provides mains pressure pre-heating via a high efficiency copper coil heat exchanger located within the solar collector tank. The way in which the Mains Pressure solar collector heats water is the same as the Non pressure solar collector. Rather than using the water in the tank directly, as the Non pressure does, the type uses a 45-60 meter copper coil heat exchanger inside the tank which provides more than 1.2m2 of heat transfer area. When water flows though the coil it absorbs heat from the water inside the solar collector tank. The solar collector tank is therefore a thermal store. One advantage of this system is that almost no water is introduced into the tank (apart from occasional topping up),so corrosion and scale buildup are almost totally eliminated. Tanks are designed for low to medium pressure applications using gravity feed tank or pressure reduction valve. Direct connection to mains pressure water supply is not permitted. Please check your local building/plumbing regulations regarding the installation of water tanks.

The system comprises of high pressure solar collectors, pressured water tank, heat exchanger or not, a controller, an expansion tank and pumps.

Working principle �

This split solar water heating system has solar collectors on roof and water tanks inside the house, and transfers heat energy collected by the collectors into the tank by natural or forced circulation of the working fluid between collector and the tank.

Functions �

1. Constant temperature circulation: adopt the auto. circulation system to realize constant temperature of the water inside the solar system; Ex-factory default is to ensure the constant temperature of water inside the system and pipelines.

2. Overheat protection: It includes protection of solar collector and electric booster. The former will be operated by the controller automatically to ensure the safety of the solar collector and the solar heat storage system; the later will be controlled by the temperature sensor automatically, to make sure the booster work in a safe condition. Take manual operation to resume to the working condition. 3. Pressure limitation: It functions by automatically sensing the pressure and temperature of the parts, so as to ensure the normal operation of the system. 4. Anti-freezing: It is realized through the circulation of the working fluid to make sure the safety of the operation at the limited temperature.
