Acitrezza

Visit the East coast of Sicily with its important reserves including the Lachea Island, the large 'Faraglione' and

a series of smaller rocks, coming from Mount Etna’s first activity.

The Lachea Island, which consists mainly of basaltic rocks, is the largest among the "Island of the Cyclops,"

and it is linked to the first volcanic eruptions in the Gulf of Acitrezza.

Caltagirone

Swirling patterns, vibrant colours and painstakingly detailed designs - Caltagirone, one of the most lively

Baroque towns in central Sicily, is known as “The city of Sicilian ceramics” due to its thousand-year-old tradition.

A visit to the Regional Museum of Ceramics is a must to appreciate the artistic value of Sicilian pottery and its

evolution over the centuries.

Castelmola

Castelmola is a small city located on the top of a mountain, above Taormina. The panoramic view from this

area is amazing and should not be missed. There is a bus that departs several times per day from Taormina

main Bus Station and will drop you off directly in town.

Noto

The town of Noto is famous as one of the "capitals" of Baroque art in Italy. The elegance of the balconies and

the refinement of the facades make it a unique and gorgeous example of the 17th and 18th century

architecture. Noto and the Baroque towns of the Noto valley have been proclaimed a World Heritage Site by

UNESCO.

Piazza Armerina

Situated deep in the Sicilian hinterland, at 721 metres above sea level, stands Piazza Armerina, one of Sicily’s

most frequented tourist spots. Visit the famous Villa Romana del Casale built in the middle of the 4th Century

AD as a hunting lodge by a Roman patrician. The Villa is home to some of the best preserved and extensive

examples of Roman mosaics.

Savoca

This picturesque mountain village lies northwest of Taormina and is knwn for the catacombs of the Capuchin

monastery with its mummies that are exhibited in wall recesses. This site also served as a setting for Francis Ford

Coppola's mafia drama The Godfather. Newspaper clippings and photos in the Bar Vitelli and a memorial to

Coppola recall the shooting at the former film location.

Siracusa

Syracuse, Siracusa in Italian, was founded in 733BC. It was once a mighty Greek colony about triple the size of

today's city and it became soon the capital of Magna Grecia. There are many Greek and Roman sites of interest,

including a Greek theater and a Roman arena. It is also one of the most relevant examples of the Sicilian

Baroque and you can easily notice it if you visit Ortygia Island and its narrow streets.

Ragusa

Visit this fascinating town with baroque architecture that has been divided into two parts after the earthquake

in 1693. The Upper Town and Ibla, the lower side which can be reached by foot through a series of stairways.

When you are in the upper town, enjoy the enchanting views of Ibla. Ragusa has earned the UNESCO World

Heritage status.

Golf

Looking for physical activity near the hotel? Play golf at the "Picciolo Golf club", a renowned 18 holes green fee

in the typical village of Castiglione di Sicilia. Playing golf here is an unusual exciting experience: hitting golf balls

standing in a large wild forest-like green field on the top of an active but safe volcano, staring a huge, gorgeous,

really immense view of the Mediterranean blue sea where frequent ships head straight to Africa.

Cooking classes and degustations

To the Wine & Food lovers that want to experience the best of Sicily and it's Mediterranean diet: we can arrange

cooking lessons combined or followed by wine tastings for you to let you savour the outstanding wines from the

Etna territory.

Diving

Sicily is one of the best places where to experience Diving itineraries, through the breathtaking beauty of the

crystal Mediterranean sea. Excursions in the depth of the sea will certainly evoke great emotions and

unexpected discoveries, while in close contact with the inner Sicilian soul.

Mini cruises

Mini cruises, of one day or by night, to the Aeolian Islands, Panarea, Vulcano and Lipari are ideal to learn more

about the wonderful scenarios of Sicily and your colleagues if used as a team excursion. The extraordinary be-

auty of the sea and its islands, joined to a favourable climate, are one of the best emotions we suggest our cu-

stomers to experience.
