EXPECTATIONS OF TEACHERS

14

We are asking teachers to adhere to the

following recommendations:

• Class tables should be facing forwards.

• Formal seating plans to be in place – where possible

we will aim to keep common seating plans to reduce the

number of contacts each child has.

• Where possible teachers should remain 2m away from

students and limit the amount of time in close

proximity.

• Use antibac gel at the start and end of each lesson as a

minimum, wipe down the teacher keyboard and desk

after use.

• Keep windows open and the door open/partly open.

CONSIDERATIONS FOR

TEACHERS

• We are a new school. It will be challenging for some of our

students…so we need to be aware of this.

• Learning should continue to be engaging, interactive and targeted

for the students in the room – building upon independence

developed in lockdown.

• Avoid using shared resources wherever possible.

• Equipment should not be shared unless essential - Shared equipment

should be 'quarantined' after use.

• Consider how feasible group work is – considering social distancing

Always observe social distancing.

• Meeting in person is often the most efficient way of working,

however we ask you keep physical meetings to a minimum.

• You may wish to consider outside spaces or larger spaces to meet.

• Open windows.

• Please social distance when in the staff room and other communal

spaces. Try to find spaces where you can work alone where possible.

• Consider using a thermos to reduce the frequency of trips to the

communal staff kettle.
