TABLE RUNNER ASSEMBLYRefer to the table runner photo and layout for the placement of prints.

General InstructionsAll angled pieces are constructed using the sew and flip method. This method is described below and referenced throughout the pattern.

Sew and Flip MethodPlace the 2 pieces right sides together matching the raw edges in one corner. Draw a diagonal line on the wrong side of the top piece across the corner. Sew on the drawn line. Trim the seam allowance above the sewn line to ¼”. Flip the top piece away from the bottom piece and press.

Heart Blocks (Make 8)Press the seam allowances open.

Select 2 A rectangles of the same color, 2 B squares of different colors, 2 C squares and 4 D squares.

Using the sew and flip method described in the general instructions, sew D squares to the upper corners of the A rectangles.

FINISHED TABLE RUNNER SIZE 24” x 44”Measurements include ¼” seam allowance.Sew with right sides together unless otherwise stated.

Repeat to sew a C square to the lower left corner of the first A rectangle and the lower right corner of the second A rectangle.

Sew the A rectangles together to make a Heart (91/2” x 91/2”).

Using the sew and flip method, sew the B squares to the lower corners of the Heart to complete 1 Heart Block (91/2” x 91/2”).

Repeat to make 8 Heart Blocks.

End Strip (Make 2)Press the seam allowances open.

Select 2 B squares of different colors and 2 E rectangles.

Using the sew and flip method, sew a B square to the lower right corner of 1 E rectangle.

Repeat to sew a B square to the lower left corner of the remaining E rectangle.

Sew the E rectangles together to complete 1 End Strip (21/2” x 181/2”).

Repeat to make 2 End Strips.

Table Runner CenterSew the 8 Heart Blocks together into 2 Rows of 4 Blocks, as shown in the Table Runner Layout Diagram. Press the seam allowances in opposite directions.

Sew the Rows together. Press the seam allowance open.

Sew an End Strip to the side edges of the Hearts to complete the Table Runner Center (181/2” x 401/2”). Press the seam allowance open.

BordersSeam allowances vary so measure through the center of the table runner before cutting border pieces.

Sew top and bottom borders (longest side) to the Table Runner Center first. Press seams towards borders. Top and Bottom borders should be 31/2” x 401/2”. Side borders should be 21/2” x 241/2”.

Finish table runner by layering the table runner top, batting, and back. Bind with the Sweet Mint Texture strips. Have fun with your colors and enjoy the journey of making your table runner.
