Yahoo! Indeed our God is great and His blessing is abundant.
Let us Run the RACE!. Our Kawayan Camp commitment to race in full submission. Apos-
tle Paul uses the methapor that in the race all the runners go into strict training. All
are aiming for the crown, a crown that not will last. But we believers that Paul em-
pasizes here that we do the race to get a crown that will last forever. Forever in God’s
authority that may our lives must not be disqualified for the prize, a prize that will
last forever. Praise God for our 8 Kawayan Camp delegates who by faith attended the
camp. We have experienced the Lord’s provision and His word being so real to us to run
and must not be disqualified.
Another School Year will start and this is again more challenging for us to rally for
more souls that they may come to know Jesus as their personal Lord and Saviour.
Praise Him for student initiatives. The Caraga Leaders Council (CLC) form a year plan
activities this was attended by 14 students from ASSCAT-ACB, PNU Dagitab Chapter,
CSU—Caraga State University and 2 counselors of ISCF Ampayon Integrated National
High School. We have two pioneering college chapters that is in CSU-Cabadbaran and a
re-pioneering SJIT of Butuan City. Please pray that we can easily put up a regular fel-
lowship in this campuses. Lapaz National High School is a promising campus we have al-
ways given here an opportunity to conduct every year a retreat for their graduating
students with the help of their principal and Mam Grace Flores a teacher and a IVCF
GenSan Alumna.
The harvest is plenty but the laborers are few. We need each other whether we like it
or we like it. Thousands of young peoples are in campuses who need to know more about
Jesus. They might be our future’s most influencial leaders in our society. A challenge
to us, how can I be a part of their lives? What can I do for this generation? How much
I have given back to Christ?
The history of Caraga can be traced back to the 15th century when explorers
discovered the existence of "Kalagans", believed to be of Visayan Origin in
one of the three districts in Mindanao. The word Caraga originated from the
Visayan word Kalagan: kalag meaning soul or people, and a meaning land.
The Kalagans have a long history of being brave and fearless. Thus, the re-
gion was called by early chroniclers as the "Land of the Brave and Fierce
People". http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Ano_ang_ibig_sabihin_Caraga
