St. Peter’s Cancer Care Center offers one of medicine’smost-advanced cancer treatment procedures – Intensity

Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT). IMRT is performed by ateam of specialists, including a radiation oncologist, medical

physicist, dosimetrist, radiation therapist and specially trainednurses. It uses high doses of radiation to target cancer cells

more precisely and accurately – thereby avoidinghealthy tissue and minimizing side effects to patients.
