The Carmel Public Library Foundation (CPLF) plans to hold its fifth annual fundraising benefit, The POP-Science Edition : a Conversation with Mary Roach  , on Thursday, April 7, 2016 at the Sunset Center Theater . Mary Roach is a bestselling author who specializes in popular science books with a humorous twist. Her works include Stiff: The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers  , Packing for Mars and others . Providing CPLF with the opportunity to utilize one of the free use days will result in a significant savings in facility use fees . Proceeds from the evening will benefit the Carmel Public Library Foundation, whose mission is to fund the Harrison Memorial Library in perpetuity, and maintain the library's preeminence as a cherished cultural institution. SUMMARY
