In a noble zone of a small but historic Ribatejana village, Vale do Paraiso, in the 90s of last century,
began an ambitious project: Casal da Fonte.
Composed of three vineyards that make a total areaof about 5 hectares, Casal da Fonte is based on
knowledge, tradition and quality.
We bet on indigenous Portuguese grape varieties because we believe in its unique characteristics
and potential.
Our production is based on the varieties: Trincadeira, Castelão, Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca and
Tinta Roriz.
José Carvalho’s wine project is distinguished by its history and above all by the short stories it contains.
Casal da Fonte is the realization of a dream andthe culmination of the knowledge and living of
generations. Each berry contains the juiceof work, dedication and the love to the wine
and vineyard, to land and tradition.
In every drop we can taste the encounter of the past into the future.

Cabernet Sauvignon is one of the world's most widely recognized red grape variety. Few would argue with the proposition that is the noblest of all grape varieties.
Casal da Fonte presents you with a Cabernet Sauvignon from a very special “terroir”.Grown in the slopes of the Ribatejo region, the vineyards are implemented in a clay-lime soil. The hot dry summer weather is balanced by the moist due to the proximity of the Tagus river.We �nd were the ideal conditions for a perfect maturation of the grapes, which acquire the balance between the alcohol, the acidity and the exquisite �avors we require for our wines.Using the best that the ancient teachings have to give us, Casal da Fonte presents you this exceptional wine.

Tasting NotesAbaladiço red wine is born from the rigorous grape selection of Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca and Tinta Roriz.
With Intense red fruit aroma, well married with spicy notes due to the aging in oak barrels.
Round and velvety in the mouth, it reveals a �ne structure with soft tannins. Final pleasant and persistent. Serve at 18 º C, accompanying dishes of Portuguese cuisine, red meats and cheeses.
