Cass Regional Medical Center Auxiliary Scholarship Program Policy The Cass Regional Medical Center Auxiliary Scholarship was established at Cass Regional Medical Center in 2004 by the Cass Regional Medical Center Auxiliary. Funds for the scholarship are provided by the Cass Regional Auxiliary on an annual basis. The following individuals are eligible to apply for the scholarship: Any Cass Regional Medical Center employee who is pursuing professional certification or continuing education in his or her field, or any Cass County high school senior or Cass County high school alumnus who has been accepted by or is enrolled in an accredited program leading to a career in health care. One $1,500 scholarship will be offered each year. In the event that a scholarship recipient's certification or educational costs are less than $1,500, an additional scholarship in the amount of the balance may be awarded to another individual. The opening date of the scholarship is March 1 and the closing date of the scholarship will be April 1, with the scholarship being awarded on or around April 15. Note: Dates are subject to change! A committee to determine the scholarship recipients will be composed of the following Cass Regional Medical Center employees and volunteers: Chief Executive Officer; Chief Nursing Officer; Chief Financial Officer; Director of Plant Operations; Director of Dietary Services; Director of Environmental Services; President of the Auxiliary; and a current member of the Auxiliary. The Auxiliary Scholarship Committee will provide all applicants with application process information and will inform applicants of selection. When awarded, the scholarships will be effective for the semester requested by the applicant. Applicants can reapply the following year. The committee's selection is based on the best- qualified applicant as ascertained from the application information. Any scholarship funds not properly used by applicant (i.e., for failure to complete course work, or any other reason) shall be refunded to the Auxiliary.
