    Community of Cancer Researchers,

Thank you for using our 2012 product catalog. Spring Bioscience is driven to build essential tools for cancer researchers so that tomorrows patients may benefit from todays innovations. As a part of the Roche Diagnostics team and members of a society afflicted by cancer, we put tomorrows cancer patients at the center of our mission and are impassioned to enable researchers with high-quality tools for the analysis of cancer tissue.

Spring was founded in 2001 by a team of scientists and achieved early success with their line of SP Clone rabbit monoclonal antibodies for clinical immunohistochemistry. This momentum was quickly noticed by Ventana Medical Systems who acquired the company in 2007 for its antibody development capabilities. Ventana Medical Systems was shortly thereafter acquired by Roche. Today, Spring serves an important role as an antibody center of excellence in Roches mission to deliver companion diagnostics. This is accomplished through not only developing antibodies destined for clinical assays through Ventana and other Roche affiliates but using our collective medical/market intelligence to serve the cancer research community.

Our 2012 catalog highlights the dozens of new products we launched during 2011 and various other product updates including improved product utility and application images.

By the time you are reading this catalog we will have also launched a new website at www.springbio.com which will contain a host of other product resources not available in the catalog. For example, hundreds of additional product images, customer feedback section, and much more.

Thank you for the opportunity to assist you in your important and purposed work and if there is anything we can do to better serve you please let us know.

    Sincerely,

Steve Reichling, General Manager, Spring Bioscience

    SP = Spring Bioscience Corporation

While you may not be familiar with Spring Bioscience Corporation, you are probably

quite familiar with rabbit monoclonal SP clones. All SP antibody clone products were

designed and manufactured by Spring Bioscience. It all started with SP1, the now gold

standard Estrogen Receptor marker. SP clones continue to emerge as best-in-class

immunohistochemistry markers for their high affinity, sensitivity, and specificity.

    E2924 1.0ml Concentrate

    E2921 7.0ml Ready-to-use

    Clone: N/A

Immunogen: Synthetic peptide from N-terminus of human 14-3-3 beta.

    Application: IHC-P, WB

    Species Reactivity: Human*

    Isotype: Rabbit IgG

Control Tissue: Brain, Prostate Carcinoma, Liver Carcinoma

    Cellular Localization: Cytoplasm

    Control Lysate: Jurkat

    Molecular Weight: 30 kDa

Human Brain stained with anti-14-3-3 beta antibody E292

Product Description: At least 7 mammalian isoforms comprise the 14-3-3 family of signaling intermediates. 14-3-3 molecules are highly conserved, expressed in a broad range of tissues and cell types and were first discovered as a series of highly abundant proteins in brain tissue. There is increasing evidence that 14-3-3 proteins are critical to cell transformation and mitotic signaling.

14-3-3 zeta Rabbit Polyclonal Catalog No. Size Format

    E12600 0.1ml Concentrate

    E12602 0.5ml Concentrate

    E12604 1.0ml Concentrate

    E12601 7.0ml Ready-to-use

    Clone: N/A

Immunogen: Synthetic peptide derived from internal region of human 14-3-3 zeta.

    Application: IHC-P, WB

    Species Reactivity: Human*

    Isotype: Rabbit IgG

    Control Tissue: Breast Carcinoma, Tonsil

    Cellular Localization: Cytoplasm

    Control Lysate: 293T

    Molecular Weight: 28 kDa

Human Breast Carcinoma stained with anti-14-3-3 zeta antibody E1260

    Control Tissue: Stomach

    Cellular Localization: Cytoplasm

Human Stomach stained with anti-Caspase-8 antibody E228

Product Description: Caspase-8 binds to the death effector domain (DED) through an analogous DED domain. Recruitment of caspase-8 to the Fas receptor results in oligomerization of the caspase-8 protein, which in turn drives its autoactivation through self-cleavage. Activated caspase-8 then activates other downstream caspases including caspase-9, thereby commiting the cell to undergo apoptosis. This antibody also detects the processed forms (42/44kDa, 25kDA, and 14kDa) of caspase-8.
