Our stock position became more and more impor-tant. We stock a lot of panels and plywood in all dimensions and qualities. This catalogue lists the various types of panel products, but our range is continuously in development. See also our website www.intplywood.nl

A few products are not in stock but can be delivered quickly or are custom made. At a minimum order and with de-livery time and price at request. You can recognize these products by this symbol.

We are producer of some panels exclusively for some clients. You will not find them in this cata-logue. But if you have an interest in exclusivity, please call us.

Products are sorted by application As a general rule of thumb, all materials listed as suitable for exterior use can also be used inside. Conversely, due to their composition and make-up, materials listed as suitable for interiors can only be used as such, or sometimes at covered locations outside. If in doubt, contact us. We are here to advice you.

Guarantee on panelsA guarantee is given on some of our quality products for exterior applications. It is valid when the original invoice is shown and when conditons are met. See guarantee certificate with guidelines/conditons for each specific brand (www.intplywood.nl or call us).

Conditons in general:• Store dry• Install dry• Close gaps completely, use putty if necessary• For paint adhesion on edges round edges r=3.• Seal edges before installing (200 mu).• Install panels with 1 cm space in between for dilatation and maintenance• Install panels with ventilation space behind it• Finish surface with at least two layers of paint • Minimum thickness of the paint is 80 mu• Follow the instructions of paint manufacturer• Yearly maintenance is required

Aside from our wide range of sizes and types of plywood and boards we also provide tailor-made solutions. Wood-based panels are our core business, but we also carry stock of HPL panels.

DISTRIBUTION Our logistics team ensures that all products are ordered on time, that we keep the cor-rect products in stock in the correct quantities, and that our customers can profit from optimal availability and very attractive commercial terms.

SERVICE We are a service oriented partner. Inter-national Plywood is able to handle everything on your behalf. We provide sales support and customer specific company solutions with Edifact, bar-coding, IPvalue, training courses and more.

The former Soviet Union counts more than fifty factories that produce birch plywood in the traditional dimension of 1525x1525 mm. Characteristic of Russian birch ply-wood is its beautiful white-yellow colouring and balanced composite of layers of 1.5 mm thickness. As for thickness and quali-ties, each factory offers specific possibili-ties. As International Plywood deals witha multitude of factories we guarantee a continuous supply.

It is a calibrated and stable okoumé plywood with a decorative face veneer for walls and furniture in cabins.Also a very stylish panel for other interior design work. Hardboard has been on the market for more than seventy years. This panel, com-posited from pressed wood fibers, is a very versatile product which can be used in a variety of ways. Hardboard is attractivelypriced.

This dark-coloured hardboard, pressed from eucalypt fibres, originates from Brazil-ian plantations compliant to FSC regula-tions. This is a very versatile panel, which can be applied in many ways.

This panel consists of pressed wood fibres treated with an oil to allow for a certain degree of water resistance. As such, oil tempered hardboard can be practically ap-plied in situations where water resistance is preferred.

International Plywood’s grey IP rand-sealer (edge sealer) was purposely de-veloped to protect edges of paintready types of plywood and other panels. Because intrusion of fluid at edges detrimentally affects plywood’ lifespan, (sawn) edges alongside panels must be treated with grey IPRandsealer. Also ensure edges are sufficiently maintained annually.

GREY IP-RANDSEALER

Content: 1000 ml or 250 ml per can.Package of 6 cans.

IP-randesealer is a 1-component fast drying, good filling and elastic edge coating based on a water-based acrylic dispersion coloured with quality pigments and fillers. At 20°C and 50% relative humidity the paint is dustdry after approx. 15 minutes and paintable after approx. 2 hours.Consumption of the paint, at a layer thickness of 30 μ, is approx. 15 m2 a litre. Do not use it when tem-perature of the environment or the object is below °C and a maximum relative humidity of 85%. IP-rand-sealer can be used with a brush, paintroller, spray and airless. Store it at a cool, dry and frost free place.

Stir the paint well before using it.

Keep out of reach of children and animals. Avoid contact with eyes etc. In case of swallowing paint im-mediately consult a physician and show paint-can with label.

Remainders need to be treated as chemical waste.

Birch plywood acclimatises slower than for example ocoume and little swellings may occur in the plywood. This is com-mon in birch plywood and not a technical defect. Make sure i-Paint is stored dry and installed dry. Seal edges and gaps as quickly as possible. If swellings appear, they will reduce and disappear in time. I-paint comes with edges painted with water repellent acrylic paint. This is not a permanent finish of the edges. We advise to use “grey IP-randsealer” to seal and maintain the edges.

Approx. 8 mm of both surfaces is a alu-minium water-resistant layer which makes the chance of warping of this door panel almost nihil.

This mezzanine floor panel is very strong and can bear ex-treme loads. Our deliveriesApproximately sixty percent of our deliveries is distributed from our Nieuwland warehouses. This applies predominantly to our extensive range of spe-cialty and semi-bulk products. Deliveries are made weekly along fixed routes, covering The Netherlands and northern Belgium. Alternative ways of delivery are also possible.

IPvalueFor instance, we provide a service called “IPvalue”. In longterm relationships, partners can trust each other and build on each other. It means we can guarantee panels are available all time and on time, because we maintain dedicated customer stocks in our warehouse. The customer doesn’t have to pay in advantage but in return he agrees about the volume he will buy in a certain period. Russian birch plywood grades are different from the Finnish birch plywood grades. For Finnishgrades see “Handbook of Finnish plywood (download from www.intplywood.nl)

Quality grades (Russian birch plywood)Below we provide an overview of the most typical top veneer grades and a summarized description of each. Upon request, we are happy to provide you with more compre-hensive details on quality grades.

BUnfilled, sanded veneer in which no plugs are allowed. Few small open knots may exist. Natural discolouring is margin-ally allowed. Few hair cracks are also allowed. B-veneer is principally suitable for so-called ‘blank work’ but we recommend you notify us in advance of any specialapplication requirements you may have.

SThis is an intermediate B and BB grade allowing a panel to include maximally three colour-selected wooden plugs on S-side.

BBPredominantly unfilled and sanded veneer to which repairs by means of plugs are allowed. A restricted number of minor knots may be included, as well as small, closed splits and minor defects of panel edges. BB grade veneer is suit-able for paint and veneer work, and finishing with HPL.

CP (WG+)Plugs and other forms of repairs, as well as the inclusion of larger knots, are allowed without restriction. Natural disco-louring, including brown cores, does not lead to rejection. Minor splits as well as other ‘cosmetic’ flaws are allowed. CP veneer must generally be closed and sanded; assuch, it provides an excellent base for finishing with HPL.

C (WG)In addition to all before mentioned flaws, this grade of veneer may include larger deficiencies, and in larger numbers. C-grade may be delivered unsanded. C-grade is mainly suitable for freighting and simple construction work.

APPENDIX

RemarksRussian plywood, as well as that of other former Soviet Union member states, is manufacturedaccording the GOST export standards. In the past, batches originally selected for local use basedon standard norms have frequently been offered. Such grades do not, in any way, comply with our national quality criteria. Unfortunately, product specifications that apply to export-grades aredeceptively similar to those applying to those appro-priate for local use only. Inclusion of ‘A’ in grading – such as ‘AB/BB’ – invariably characterises a grade suitable for local use only.

Products qualified as B/BB or BB/BB may also be suitable to local use only, which may be confusedwith B/BB and BB/BB export grades. We strongly advice you to take care when dealing withoffers of businesses unknown to be reliable ply-wood-importing agents.

OriginsWe predominantly import larger sized birch plywood (1220 x 2440 mm and 1250 x 2500 mm) from Russia and Ukraine. Obviously, we also provide alternatives in Finnish, Latvian and Polish birch plywood, but here different specifications apply.Please specify any origin-specific requests you may have when ordering your birch plywood.

DimensionsAlthough we aim to stock much of our birch ply-wood as 1250 x 2500 mm. Due to frequently occur-ring problems with the product’s availability in that dimension we may only be able to offer you its 1220 x 2440 mm alternative.

Long- and cross-grain veneered.The availability of long- and cross-grain veneered birch plywood fluctuates significantly. Whendetermining the mix of our stocked range we strived to predominantly stock long-grain veneered B/BB. We assume that grain direction is of less importance to lower grade top veneers, such as BB/BB, BB/CP and CP/CP. If you specifically require this grade to be long-veneered, please specify this when requesting a quotation so we can verify its availability.

Birch plywood acclimatises slower than for example ocoume and little swellings may occur in the surface of the plywood. This is common in birch plywood and not a technical defect. Make sure birch plywood is stored dry and installed dry. When used in an exterior or damp environment: Seal edges and gaps as quickly as possible. Swellings only appear when gaps and edges where allowed to absorp water. If this happened, the swellings will reduce and disappear in time. We advise to use “grey IP-randsealer” (edge-sealer) to seal and maintain the edges.

APPENDIX

1. Scope of Application. Unless otherwise agreed,these general terms and conditions of sale shallapply to all offers and contracts of sale whichconcern the sale of wood, wood products, triplex,multiplex, blockboard, board, board products,chipboard and other board materials, irrespectiveof whether these articles are or are not of foreignorigin.

2. Offers and Contract of Sale. All offers,catalogue lists and tariffs shall be entirely freeof obligation. Where the sale is undertaken bya sales representative or a reseller the sale shallbe deemed definitive for the seller only after theseller’s written confirmation.

3. Delivery Date. Any delivery date given shallbe deemed indicative and approximate. Unlessotherwise expressly stated in writing, the sellershall in no way be bound by any delivery datewhatsoever and any overdue delivery shall notconfer upon the purchaser any grounds fordamages or annulment of the sale.

4. Carriage. Unless otherwise agreed, the transferof goods shall be held to take place ex-seller’swarehouse. In cases where it is agreed that goodsshall be supplied carriage paid, the seller shall beresponsible for the costs of carriage to the agreeddestination but not beyond a point at which avehicle may reasonably be driven or a vessel mayreasonably sail. The purchaser shall be obliged totake possession of the goods at that point and tounload them immediately. If the purchaser fails tofulfil this obligation, any charges thus caused shallbe for the purchaser’s account. If the seller takescare of the transport, unless the purchaser hashimself indicated a specific mode of transport, theseller shall select the mode of transport using thebest knowledge at his disposal, but shall assume noliability for so doing.

5. Risk. Both where the sale is carriage paid andwhere the sale is not carriage paid, the risk derivingfrom carriage shall be for the account of thepurchaser. Immediately after leaving the seller’s warehouse the goods shall be in all cases for theaccount of the purchaser, including transport risk,war risk and all other risks.

6. Retention of Title. The goods shall remain theproperty of the seller until fully paid for. Until thattime they shall not be disposed of either to thedetriment of the seller or to the advantage of athird party, nor shall they be pledged as surety norbe the object of a fiduciary transfer of ownership.If, notwithstanding the above, the purchaser resellsthe goods, he shall be obliged to transfer therelevant receivable to the seller.

7. Alterations to carriage charges, duties, leviesand taxes. All sales shall be transacted under thespecific condition that any changes in carriagecharges, duties, officially imposed levies, taxes andsuch like relative to the rates prevailing at the timethat the sale was agreed shall be for the purchaser’saccount, it being understood that the sales priceshall be increased by the amount that the saidcarriage charges, duties, levies, taxes and suchlikehave increased.

8. Packaging. Unless otherwise agreed, no chargeshall be made for standard packaging. Packagingshall only be taken back and credited against thesales price when this has been specifically agreedand the packaging has been returned carriage paidin good condition to the seller.

9. Return Shipments. The purchaser shall in noway be authorised to refuse to take possessionof the goods sold or to return them to the sellerunless the seller has given his written agreement.If the purchaser returns goods to the seller withoutthe seller having given his written agreement, andthe seller nevertheless takes possession of them,then the purchaser shall always assume the riskand expense of the return. The seller shall storethe shipment at the purchaser’s risk and expenseand it shall be kept at the purchaser’s disposal.Such storage shall not constitute any admission ofliability whatsoever in relation to the validity of anyfuture claims.

10. Claims. Claims shall only be valid when notifiedto the seller in writing within 8 days of receptionof the goods. Claims for short delivery, for nonad-herence to specification and for externally visibledamage shall only be valid when attested to by thepurchaser on the official receipt of delivery note.A claim shall only be deemed valid if the seller is

in a position to check the goods delivered in theiroriginal condition and in their original packaging.No claim shall authorise the purchaser to suspendpayment. If the claim is justified, the seller shallat his own discretion either pay a reasonableindemnity not exceeding the invoice value of thegoods delivered that gave rise to the complaint, orshall replace the goods delivered without chargeon condition that the goods originally deliveredbe returned. The seller shall not be bound to payfurther and/or consequential damages. In relationto claims every partial delivery shall be deemed aseparate sale. Any grounds for complaint shall lapseif the goods delivered have been either partially ortotally processed and/or adapted.

11. Force Majeure. If, in spite of warnings from theseller, the factory or the supplier from where theseller obtains the goods fails, for whatever reason,either to deliver, or to deliver on time, or to deliverproperly, this shall be deemed a case of forcemajeure by the purchaser relative to the seller. Theseller shall not assume any liability for this relativeto the purchaser. In cases of floating ice, strikes,measures imposed by civil or military authorities,supply delays, industrial disputes, prohibition ofexport, civil disorder, war, mobilisation, transporthindrances, hindrances restraining export and/or import and all cases of force majeure, theseller shall be authorised at his own discretion toannul the sale in so far as this is affected by theimpediment. Within a maximum of 8 days after thepurchaser has made a written request, the sellershall be obliged to notify the latter of his decision.

12. Exchange Risk. Fluctuations exceeding 3% inthe exchange rate or in the value in gold of foreignor Dutch currencies that have occurred after thesale has been agreed and before the goods havebeen fully delivered shall confer upon the seller theright to increase the sales price in proportion tothe exchange rate fluctuation or, should the seller so prefer, and insofar as the goods have not beendelivered, to annul the sale without any obligationto pay any form of damages.

13. Payment. In so far as not stated otherwise, thepurchaser shall be bound to effect payment nolater than 10 days following date of invoice. In thecase of late payment, the purchaser shall, by dueoperation of law, be liable to a rate of interest of 1%per month calculated on the outstanding sum asfrom the due date. Even if the sale has been agreedon other conditions, the seller at all times reservesthe right to despatch the goods on cash on deliveryor to require payment in advance. Even in the caseof a dispute over the debt, the purchaser shall,without delay upon the seller’s request, be boundto provide full surety for the purchase price.

14. Recovery and Legal Charges. If, as a conse-quence of late payment, the seller has passedon his receivable for collection, the purchaser shallbe liable for all consequent legal and extra-legalcharges.

15. Breach of Contract by Purchaser. Where thepurchaser does not observe his obligations, theseller shall be authorised, without warning norobligation to serve notice of default, to annulthe sale and in addition to demand paymentof damages. If the purchaser does not observehis obligations, the seller shall have the right tosuspend the execution of all agreements then inforce with any intermediaries until such time as thepurchaser observes his obligations. Other rightsshall remain unimpaired.

16. Applicable Law. The law of the Netherlandsshall apply to all offers and contracts of sale.

17. Varying Clauses or Conditions. Supplementaryor varying clauses or conditions shall only be validif these have been confirmed in writing by theseller. If the purchaser wishes to declare valid othergeneral conditions which are at variance from thesegeneral conditions, then in cases of dispute thesegeneral conditions shall prevail.
