My Mission as a Board of National Parkinson’s Foundation of North Florida is to help the quality of life for my residents at St. Augustine Plantation and also to raise awareness in the Tallahassee Community for local Parkinson’s members. Upon hire of St. Augustine Plantation, I realized there was an opportunity to help the Parkinson’s Foundation as well as 8 senior residents who have Parkinson’s at St. Augustine Plantation.

My immediate goal is to implement exercises that help with restricted symptoms of Parkinson’s and to increase dopamine levels to prolong better quality of life. I sought out a Certified Ageless Grace Instructor who specifically designed a workout for Parkinson’s and neuromuscular exercise. The event is once a week , open to the public and advertised attendance at all NPFNF speaker meetings, events, caregivers groups and board meetings.

My daily inspiration is from my residents who battle Parkinson every day with grace and lioness courage. In view of the bigger picture of my seat on the board of National Parkinson’s Foundation of North Florida. My purpose is to make a difference in the lives of my residents as well as all Compass Pointe Healthcare Communities in North Florida. As a Board Member, I have access and the ability to increase prospects, leads, influencers, occupancy and revenue.

My Board seat combined with my Marketing Plan opens opportunities to increase revenue via NPFNF. My experience shows me Parkinson’s members start with Home Health, then Assisted Living and in later stages Memory Care is needed. I see opportunity to grow programs specifically tied to Parkinson’s for the greater good of North Florida and all Compass Pointe Healthcare Communities in North Florida.

Upon inception, Cascades at the Hammocks was 92% occupied. In one months’ time, our team brought Cascades at the Hammocks to 97% occupancy. Cascades as the Hammocks were my competition for 12 years, with an average occupancy of 91%. Upon inception I trained the same staff and created a marketing plan to generate revenue for targeted goal of 100% occupancy. The Cascades team had a 99% average occupancy our 1st year. Our second year we achieved an average of 100% and maintained it with an average vacancy loss of 4 days per unit. Thus, our team achieved highest occupancy award and greatest NOI award for the entire Archon Group Portfolio of 220,000 units.
