Sports News Cricket: On Thursday 17th August, the Trinity Mark Taylor Shield Cricket team arrived at Glenmore Park to prepare for the match against Bethany. We practiced our catching and fielding before the game. We lost the toss and were sent into bat. Unfortunately we lost a few wickets early in the game but with some stunning batting from Ryan P and Ben we were 2/78. After Ryan P hit an awesome six to retire on 32 runs, I was sent in to take his place. Some good batting in the middle order led us to finish on 107 after our 30 overs. There first batters were great at batting but our fielding was great too. We missed a few catches, but we got up and stopped the next ones and encouraged each other. We took some quick wickets to try and swing the momentum but Bethany were too good on the day and end-ed up 3/111. Everyone played at their best on the day and batted and bowled really well. Massive thank you to all the parents and caregivers that got there kids to the game on the day and stayed to support us. Big thanks to Mrs Harris and Mr Lo Cascio for picking the team and thanks to Mr Lo Cascio for scoring on the day By: Ryan C Netball:

On Tuesday 22nd August 45 students were selected to represent Trinity by playing netball and competing with other schools. We were placed in the following team groups: 3 junior mixed, 1 x 11 year old girls, and 1 senior mixed team. Although our teams didn’t always score many goals, we were there to represent Trinity and play for fun. All Trinity players were good sports and played in the Spirit of Friendship, Fairness and Fun!

There are a lot of people to thank as a day like this does not happen without the many adults organising it and supporting us..We would like to thank Miss Blom, Mrs Rowley, Mrs McDonnell, Mrs Moulds, Sara and Terese our coaches and the Emmaus students who volunteered to be umpires, and the parents and grandparents who supported all of us all day. We also want to thank Jenny and Lauren Blacklock from the Emmaus Netball Association. Thank you everyone!
