This is for general information that the first Central Executive Committee meeting of the Chakma
Buddhist Congregation of India (CBCI) was held on 12th February 2011 at Devagiri Buddhist Temple,
Tlabung, Lunglei District, Mizoram. The meeting was presided by Mr. Chandra Kumar Chakma, Vice-President of the CBCI.
The main theme of the meeting was to publish Buddhist Calendar, apply membership to
International Network of Engaged Buddhists (INEB) in Thailand, CBCI Registration Process, etc. After
the discussion, the following resolution had unanimously passed in the meeting:-
Resolution No. 1: To publish Buddhist Calendar-2555 (2011-2012) and release on Buddha Purnima
Day in the month of May 17, 2011.
Resolution No. 2: Mr. Gyana Ranjan Chakma, Calcutta authorised to order and purchase allnecessary items including Receipt Book, Writing Pad, Logo, Flag, Buddhist Calendar, etc. on behalf
of the CBCI.
Resolution No. 3: Mr. Zoliana’s Bank Account will be used until Registration of CBCI. All kind of
donations, membership fees, etc. will be remit in his account please. Account detailed: State Bank
of India, Account Owner: Mr. Zoliana; Account Number: 11802508580
Resolution No. 4: Rs. 7,000/- (Seven thousand only) permitted for General Secretary Office, New
Delhi to buy a used Desktop Computer and Rs. 3000/- (three thousands) allowed to Bhikkhu
Dhammalankar for primary Registration process of CBCI. Resolution No. 5: The CBCI will apply for membership to International Network Engaged of
Buddhists (INEB), Thailand.
Resolution No. 6: The CBCI official website had created on 7th of February 2011. The website is
www.cbcicharity.org instead of www.cbci.org and Mr. John Dickhart, Australia sponsored it for 5
years. The member of the CBCI expressed their gratefulness and given thanks to Mr. Dickhart for hissponsored. The domain name www.cbci.org is already taken somebody. As a result, CBCI unable
choose the same domain name. Resolution No. 7: Mr. N. K. Chakma, Minister of State for Animal Husbandry & Veterinary;
Sericulture; Disaster Management & Rehabilitation; and Mr. Nirupam Chakma, Member of the
Legislative Assembly (MLA), Government of Mizoram was selected as Patron of CBCI.
Resolution No. 8: Mr. Ritesh Chakma, Aizawl, has appointed as Publicity Secretary of CBCI.
Resolution No. 9: Next Central Executive Committee meeting will be held on May 2011.
