It has been brought to our attention that binary triggers have been used on our rifle/pistol range. The Directors addressed this issue on 12/12/2018 at the monthly Board of Directors and Membership meeting. It was the consensus of the Board that this type of trigger falls under the fol-lowing rule: “CCFSA does not allow any device or modification that allows one to simulate 'automatic fire', including, but not limited to, 'bump fire', 'slide fire', etc."

Therefore, use of Binary Triggers will NOT be allowed on CCFSA ri-fle/pistol range unless the following has been complied with: If the binary trigger has a selector switch that allows you to use it in standard semi-automatic mode, that selector switch is set to semi-automatic mode and shot in semi-automatic mode where one shot is fired with the pull of the trigger and there is NOT a shot fired on release of the trigger, it will be al-lowed.

    From the rule book.

Range Restrictions CCFSA does allow automatic (Class III) firearms to be fired as long as they are fired in semi-automatic mode (one round is fired for one pull of the trigger.) No two, three, or more round burst for one pull of the trig-ger may be fired. CCFSA does not allow any device or modification that al-lows one to simulate 'automatic fire', including, but not limited to; 'bump fire', 'slide fire', etc."

If you have any questions, please let us know. CCFSA Board of Directors.

  • CCFSA 2019 SPONSORSHIP MESSAGE

Hello all! Cooler weather is knocking at the door and I hope you all have your ammo loaded and ready to take full advantage of the club facilities! We have quite a few members who are “new blood” and are bringing ide-as which have already proven to generate more interest and activities! We will now enjoy a 3 Gun STEEL SHOOT on the 24th of September, 1:00 P.M. and with the recent purchase of the 69 adjoining acres, a 500 yard range is in the not too distant future! These things will bring more expo-sure and new members into the fold as well as more exposure for our sponsors!

Kirk Colyer has been working tirelessly to entice the big sponsors into the fold which has proven to be quite challenging due to the differ-ent corporate levels these things must pass through, yet he remains un-daunted. He’ll never give up!

Please continue to let us know of any potential businesses of which you may be aware that will want to get in front of our 1000 plus mem-bers and their families and friends. We have sponsorships at several lev-els starting at $100.00 per year for the newsletter and website with links to the advertisers and they are affordable for every business both large and small. E-mail me at [email protected] or call me at 513-313-5436 with any interest, requests for quotes/information on sponsorships or any suggestions. We need to hear from YOU!

Thanks, and have a great hunting season! See you at the range!

    Dave, Sponsorship Chair

  • PLANNED CHANGES FOR SAFETY PROCEDURES

Based on observations and discussion by members of the Safety, Shotgun, Archery, and Conservation Committees, a few changes are planned to be implemented at CCFSA. Once these proposed changes have been worked-out and put into place, additional information will be provid-ed.

All activities on the Clubhouse side of the road will require sign-in at the Clubhouse. A single sign-in book will be accessible near the Clubhouse and other sign-in books on that side of the road will be removed. This ap-plies to all Shotgun and Archery activities, as well as any activity using the ponds, woods/trails, and campground/picnic area. Please remember to sign-in before any activity is started. The sign-in procedure for the Rifle & Pistol Range will remain the same.

An improved safety procedure for opening the Shotgun Range is al-so being planned. The improved procedure will include a warning system before live-firing commences.

In addition to the planned changes mentioned above, please re-member these current club Safety Policies:

Any time there is a 3D Archery Event in progress, ALL shotgun rang-es and ponds are closed. These events are routinely held on the First Sat-urday of each month. Additional 3D Archery Events will be posted on the CCFSA Calendar.

Any time the Shotgun Range is operating, ALL pond and woods ac-tivities are closed. The Shotgun Range is typically operated on Wednesday afternoon/evening and Sunday morning/afternoon, but may be in opera-tion during additional days/times as needed.

For additional information, please contact the appropriate CCFSA Committee.

  • Congrats to Fawn Krieg-Girard for making the world 3D team for

    the 2nd time!!!

  • Congratulations Baylee on making it to the final elimination round and tak-ing 4th Place at the 2019 S3DA Outdoor Target National Championship in Metropolis, IL. They had a shoot off for the top 16 Archers, then an elimi-

nation round for the top 8, and then the final 4.
