Officers’ Offerings

Princess Congratulations to the 7 new members who joined our Court in February! I hope to see you at the Unit Meet-

ings this month. As transportation chairman I will have some sign-up sheets available at the Unit meetings and at Court in March so that you can indicate if you are going to Grand Council in May. Airfare remains about $220 round trip on Southwest.

Thank you to everyone for electing me as your High Priestess for the 2016-2017 year and I promise to make everyone proud. March is a busy month for me, as I try to finalize all my plans for the year. Congratulations to the other line officers on their elections and especially Lady Debbie Jones, our new “Mushroom”! Thanks also to

High Priestess Congratulations and Welcome to our newest members that were initiated February 20. What a nice class of seven new ladies. We enjoyed the performances by our Units and a great lunch with our mem-bers, husbands and the Divan of El Zaribah.

We initiated a total of 16 new members this year. I encourage all the new members to visit our Units during March and April and decide which units you want to join. That is the best way to meet the members. If you have any questions or concerns, please call me or one of the officers or Past High Priestesses and do not be shy. We can all answer your questions to guide you to the person who is able to help you.

Congratulations to our newly elected officers. They are High Priestess, Lady Karen MacDougall; Princess, Lady Iris Colbert; Associate Princess, Lady Mary Lou Burger; Recorder, Lady Linda Curry, PHP; Treasurer, Lady Andrea Lacombe; 1st Ceremonial Lady, Janet Massey; 2nd Ceremonial Lady, Debbie Jones, Trustee 1 year, Lady Sharon Harrison; and Trustee 3yr, Lady Mimi Bohlman HP. I wish them a great, fun year and to bring in more won-derful new members. They are a great group of Ladies and I ask the Court to support them as you supported me this year.

This is my last article for the Chatter for this year. Officers, Aides, and members, thank you for a wonderful year. I have had so much fun being your High Priestess and I think we have all had fun together. We all worked together and had a very successful year. We were able to laugh at our mistakes, worked hard together at the fund raisers, and really got to know each other better. Do it again for Karen.

I enjoyed attending the Units’ monthly meetings. Thank you for making me feel so welcome. Your meetings were fun and enlightening and I know you will all be very successful in the coming years. Keep growing!

Past High Priestesses, thank you for your support, advice, friendship, and hard work this past year. You are truly the backbone of this Court. I appreciate everything you have done for me this past year.

First Ceremonial Lady Congratulations to all the Ladies of the Court on a successful Ceremonial Meeting and Luncheon! Thank you to all the Ladies who helped set up, took part, and helped clean up. The Ladies of our Court are awesome!

I personally welcome our new Ladies Rosemarie, Delinda, Mary, Tosha, Toni, Jean, and Lori. We look for-ward to getting to know you, and sharing many good times ahead.

I cannot believe that the year is almost over for the Court. It’s been fun and exciting, but the new year is quickly approaching and plans are being made. It’s going to be a memorable year, so make sure to attend the Court Meetings and the Unit Meetings so you do not miss out!

Clowns Hello Ladies! We had an exciting February

meeting! We Elected new officers. Congratulations to all! We have a lot of parades coming up in Chandler, Ahwatukee, Prescott Valley and Payson. We need everyone’s participation to show the world how strong out Clown Unit is.

We have two new clowns that joined us, Polka Dot and Sunshine! They are going to make a great addition to our group. Thank you to our High Priestess Lady Mimi and Lady Mary Lou our 2nd CL for attending our meeting.

The Clowns congratulate Lady Mimi Bohlman, High Priestess and the officers for another successful Ceremonial. To our NEW MEMBERS, our meetings are the 2nd Thursday of the month. Our next meeting will be March 10th 7 PM. Please join us in the Red Fez Room for dinner at 5:30pm. We would love to see you there.

Ceremonial Pageantry What a beautiful ceremonial we had. How much

fun to welcome 7 new members into our Court. As always, I thank each of you who helped with the story. Lady Katrina, thank you so much for stepping in at the last minute to help.

We had election of Officers at our February meeting and the results are as follows: President, Lady Jane Sheldon; Vice President, Lady Kathy Kelley; Secre-tary. Lady Gina Baird PHP; and Treasurer, Lady Bob-bie Balthazor PHP. I will remain on as Director of the Pageant.

Unit and Club Happenings Director Staff

Welcome to the seven new members who were initiated. We would love to have you visit our unit and become a member. You'll be given a great Indian Name, after you earn it however. We meet the second Tuesday of the month at 6:30PM. Many of us meet in the Red Fez Room for dinner prior to the meeting. That's a great time to socialize and get to know us. Our next meeting will be March 8th.

As you saw, we do the Indian Dance at Ceremo-nials, Grand Council, the Western Area Unit Meet. We invite you to join us. The more the merrier.

Our main fund raiser is cooking and serving the dinner on Court Meeting Nights. If you like to cook, we'd be glad to have you. The menu for March is still to be determined.

We are the traveling unit for Lady Karen MacDou-gall, High Priestess-elect. We will be having a Self Defense Class as a fund raiser on Friday March 11, 2016 from 6:00-8:00 PM. The cost is $15.00. There will be light refreshments. Please contact Lady Lynn Hatch, PHP 480-225-1270 with your reservation. All are welcome, so invite your friends.

The officers elected for the ensuing year are: Chief, Lady Gina Baird, PHP; Assistant Chief,

Greeters Unit The next meeting of the Greeters Unit will be on

April 16, 2016, at 808 E Missouri; 3rd floor of the Madi-son Gardens Senior Community. It is a very nice meeting room and will accommodate all of our mem-bers and visitors with ease. This meeting will be in-stallation of officers and the Official Visit of our High Priestess, so be sure to come and welcome our new High Priestess. As we discussed at our last meeting, be sure to get your name in for your duties you would prefer for our upcoming WAOUM 2017.

I would like to start having the members wear it at the meetings of the court; at least those that are not officers or aides any-way.

Sphinx Patrol The Patrol welcomes our new Court Members

and would like to see each of you at our next meeting. We had a great Ceremonial with performances,

the new Patrol Members did a great job, thank you all. Due to the Installation of Officers, on April 9,

2016, our next monthly meeting will be on the 3rd Tuesday, April 19, 2016, dinner at 5:30 PM, practice at 6:15, and meeting at 7:00.

Another exciting thing to happen to our Unit is our NEW members, Ladies, Mary Elllen Bloomburg, Linda DuBois PHP, Andie Lacombe, Veronica Zabala, and Betsy Ozee.

I am so very thankful to all the unit members and to our High Priestess for your cooperation , Lady Mimi Bohlman. Lady Mimi was a tremendous help and support while we were going through the transition of electing our Unit officers last fall. She was relentless in the giving of her time and cooperation.
