CECA Parents,Happy Spring! The birds are chirping, the shorts are out, and the April showers are sure to bring May flowers!I try to remind myself of that whenever it is pouring down rain and I’m stuck inside with my kids who are “bored” and have somehow decided that I am the never-ending source of entertainment for them. But, much like the rain brings boredom, so too does boredom bring out the flower of creativity that does not seem so desperately required at any other time. We come up with games and art projects to pass the hours, and I realize that the shower did indeed bring up a flower. My hope for you this month is that you find a chance to grow your creative parenting skills whenever there is a shower, whether actual or figuratively.April is promising to be packed with more fun activities, a great speaker, our spring photo fundraiser, and of course our Annual Spring Fling!! So check out what we have going on this month!

If you have kiddos going to YMCA childcare, please put that on your Evite RSVP along with ages. RSVP deadline is Sunday, April 4th.

Please note children’s ages in the comment section. Th is is required so the YMCA can plan for enough caregivers for all of our children.

Meet our April SpeakerHi! I’m Dana, and I blog at A Slob Comes Clean as Nony (short for aNONYmous). I’m a mother, blogger, freelance writer and former Theatre Arts/Speech teacher. I am also the author of 28 Days to Hope for Your Home (an e-book that’s not for the mildly disorganized).
Three years ago, I never would have dreamed that I would be asked to speak to women about anything to do with cleaning or organizing. My house was a mess. But as I have shared my own deslobification journey with the world, I’ve learned that many women also feel overwhelmed and struggle to manage their homes in the midst of busy lives.
My passion has always been to uplift and encourage women, and now I do that by sharing practical home management strategies that any woman (even the most hopeless!) can immediately implement to begin improving her home.

The Sunshine Committee is here to help celebrate a newborn or in a time of need. If you (or someone you know) are pregnant or need assistance, please let us know!
If possible, it helps to set up your preferences before the baby is born or a surgery takes place. When a baby is born, we like to know:
Parents’ and siblings’ names,Address and best contact number.
Any meal preferences (take out, etc)?Allergies or dislikes?
When approximately would you like meals to begin being delivered (obviously, you may not know before baby is born. :)
Also, please let us or another CECA member know when the baby is born so we can share the special details in our newsletter. We like to know baby’s gender, name, and any other fun stats that you’d like to share with us!
