Family Dance Night Dust off your dancing shoes! We will be having a Family Dance on February 23rd from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. We will be having Ashley Wing (Rylee and Taylor’s Mom) show us some Zumba moves and Tim Jones (Kylie’s Dad) running the music. We will also be having a time to Jump Rope For Heart during the evening. Bring the whole family for a night of fun in the gym! For weather cancellation, please listen to KMAQ 95.1.

Electronics On Field Trips

Sacred Heart held their first active shooter/intruder drill on Thursday of this week. We had three Maquoketa Policemen here to help us run the drill. The drill went very well and we answered questions from the students after it was complete.

Intruder Drill

During our field trip on Wednesday, we had some issues with a few students using their Nintendo DS’s. They were playing the game PictoChat. This game lets you instant message other people on DS’s within a certain distance. There were a few inappropriate comments made to other students. Instead of banning electronics on the bus, we have given the students one more chance to keep their privilege of using electronics. If there are problems on future trips, we will suspend the use of electronics on the bus. If your child has an electronic device, please talk to them about the importance of using it appropriately.

Spring Cleaning? Spring is coming! Are you getting ready to do Spring Cleaning? Sacred Heart School is going to host the 2nd Annual Sacred Heart Rummage Sale on April 26th, 27th, and 28th. If you have items you would like to donate, drop them off at school starting April 1st. Large items April 22nd. Thank you- Mr. Peetz

Registration School registration, for the 2013-2014 school year, will be on February 26th from 3:30 to 6:00 p.m. E-Registration (our online information system) will be held in August at registration/covenant signing day. Fall registration will be set at a later date. We will be having registration on the same days as the public school.
