• ESPGHAN suggerisce l’introduzione all’età di 6 mesi
• In Svezia è stato anticipato a 4 mesi (quando il bimbo è ancora allattato al seno) per favorire l’induzione della tolleranza

Conclusioni
• Celiaci si diventa, non si nasce
• I fattori ambientali che regolano l’equilibrio tolleranza/intolleranza al glutine sono ancora poco chiari
• E’ probabile che il peso dei fattori ambientali sia aumentato in tempi recenti
• Allattamento al seno prolungato previene la celiachia
• Nel bambino a rischio familiare è possibile il ripristino della tolleranza al glutine
