2. Cell Division: occurs quickly

a. Why is it important that the nucleus divides in mitosis?

i. It stores the DNA (information of life)

ii. All new cells need this information

iii. Why? – DNA and protein molecules that make up chromosomes are spread throughout the nucleus and are being used by cell
