A group can be saved as a picture so that you can insert it on another slide or in another presen- tation. Although you can copy and paste a group, saving it as a picture facilitates easy sharing among presentations. To complete this presentation, you will need the following file: p03_Seminar You will save your presentation as: p03_Seminar_Your_Name You will save your picture as: p03_Logo_Your_Name 1. Start PowerPoint, and then locate and open p03_Seminar. Save the presentation in your PowerPoint Chapter 3 folder as p03_Seminar_Your_Name 2. 3. On the Picture Tools Format tab, in the Arrange group, click the Group button , andthen click Group.

4. Point to the grouped object to display the pointer, and then click the right mouse buttonto display the shortcut menu.

5. Point to Save as Picture, as shown in Figure 2, and then click.

6. In the displayed Save As Picture dialog box, navigate to your PowerPoint Chapter 3 folder.Click the Save as type arrow to display picture file types from which you can choose to saveyour picture, as shown in Figure 3.

7. Click JPEG File Interchange Format. In the File name box, type p03_Logo_Your_Nameand then click Save to save your file.

Saving the file as a JPEG image results in a good quality picture with a smaller file sizethan other picture file types.

8. Display Slide 4. On the Insert tab, in the Illustrations group, click the Picture button.Navigate to your PowerPoint Chapter 3 folder, and then click the picture that you just cre-ated—p03_Logo_Your_Name. Click Insert to insert the picture.

The file that you inserted is no longer a group—the individual elements cannot be editedor formatted—but all picture styles and formatting options can be applied to the picture.

9. Drag the picture to the lower left corner of the slide so that it is positioned as shown inFigure 4.

10. Insert a Header & Footer on the Notes and Handouts. Include the Date and time updatedautomatically, a Page number, and the Footer p03_Seminar_Your_Name

11. Save the presentation, and then print or submit electronically as directed. Exit PowerPoint.
