Supplier Qualification

Supplier qualification (SQ) is a business process, facilitated by Supply Chain Management

(SCM)/Procurement to ensure competent and qualified suppliers are used for services and goods.

The process consists of five aspects of risk:

Compliance

Financial

Health, Environment and Safety (HES)

Capability

Information Protection (IP)

These aspects are addressed through a four stage process (data gathering, validation and analysis,

monitoring, and requalification) and done in conjunction with other SCM/Procurement sub processes.


Supply Chain Practice

FPAL Registered

Potential suppliers registered and ensure data is reflective of provision and

current and preferably Verified

Supply Chain Code of Practice

Chevron actively supports the Supply Chain Code of Practice

Awarded Gold level of compliance for four consecutive years in 2014


The Way We Do Business

Focus on Safety, Reliability and Total Cost of Ownership.

Supply Chain Management facilitates this through Category Management and

Procurement Operations.

Supplier selection using a robust Supplier Qualification process.

Supplier Relationship – jointly develop plans and metrics to support business

unit activities.

Performance against jointly agreed metrics will influence total remuneration.

Expectation of usage of Chevron eProcurement systems.
