Year 2018 will witness the 20th year of the China Hi-Tech Fair (CHTF) in Shenzhen. With a fast growth over the past 19 years, the CHTF is the largest of its kind in China in terms of both scale and influence. Highlights49 exhibitor groups from 46 countries and from the EU member countries took part in the CHTF 2017. Domestically, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan and other 35 provinces and municipalities sent their exhibitor groups. Groups from 27 universities, colleges and another 3,049 individual exhibitors also attended the Fair, which extended to an exhibition area of 120,000 square meters. 10,020 high tech projects were recorded on display. They represented the latest progress achieved by scientists and technical teams in the net of things, intelligent manufacturing, artificial intelligence, energy saving and environmental protection, AR/ VR, internet plus, big data, unmanned system, smart city, aeronautics and astronautics, new energy, new materials, optoelectronic FPD and modern agriculture, etc.

The event generated 592,000 visits from 102 countries and regions, with the index of professional interests of

242, meaning an estimated daily average of 242 professional visits to every single booth. Over 1,704 new products and 539 new technologies made their debut at the forum and a total of 63 enterprises staged specific launching events for their new products. More than 1500 journalists from 250 domestic and overseas media reported on the events.
