The Mass Mass Defined:

Is the sacrifice of the new law in which Jesus through the ministry of a priest offers himself to God in an unbloody manner under the appearance of bread and wine.

The Mass Purpose of Mass:

To perpetuate through the centuries the sacrifice of the Cross, to make it present in a sacramental form that enables all people, in all times and places, to participate in it, on condition of an act of living faith
