CHRISTMAS SHOT- FILMING DAY

HARD WORK

Here I am adding the decorations which make the tree come to life as they say. This was in fact the easiest part of the job. I never underestimated a job like this one before. I actually believed it would take me 20 minutes to get it all done. I was completely wrong.

SETTING UP THE SCENE

This is me setting up the Christmas tree for our filming session. It took me two hours to set the whole tree up. I never realised it would take me that long because I never set up a Christmas tree before. I was completely new to it and I done it all by myself. It made me realise that sometimes setting up the set can take up to a few hours and that it is always good to set everything up before your actor arrives. It gave me that professional experience to know what it feels like to have to prepare a set in a short amount of time.

HELPING HAND

This is Shiala who came straight after her lesson finished to help me finish off decorating the tree. By the time she came I was completely exhausted and needed the extra hand to finish it off.

PRESENTS

This is a close up of the presents that we decided to put under the tree. I went and brought some wrapping paper earlier on in the day and wrapped two tin boxes to make them look like presents. That was easy compared to setting up the shooting set. As long as the presents were on the floor and Sheila did not touch them, we were never going to show what was inside them. We positioned them so that they could be seen clearly by the camera.

PACK IT UP

After we finally finished filming we had to put the Christmas tree back into its box. It was much easier to dismantle it then it was to put it together as you can imagine. I also had the help of my group this time too so we managed to get it done fairly quickly.
