Faculty Development Committee for Online and Multimedia Instruction Member of the electronic course committee at Marshall University. This committee is responsible for evaluating, monitoring and approving all electronic courses that are used throughout the university system. 2002- present. UT-ITESM Faculty Exchange Program. Participated in The University of Tampa - Monterrey Technology University Faculty Exchange Program, May 1997. This program develops and promotes the exchange of faculty members from each university to ensure a constant flow of interaction between both academic institutions of higher learning. Global Village Regional Director. Served as Global Village faculty regional director for Asia and the Far East at The University of Tampa, Fall 1996 to present. The regional director helped with a variety of functions (e.g. plan activities, coordinate work schedules, determine regional themes, obtain educational material, etc.) for this annual international conference. Chairman of Standards Committee. Served as Chairman of University Standards Committee at The University of Tampa, Fall 1996 to present. The Chairman was responsible for coordinating meeting times and leading the discussion on a variety of topics including articulation agreements, misconduct in academic research, students with disabilities issues, and requirements for graduation honors. The Standard Committee consists of ten UT faculty members Christian Student Association Advisor. Served as faculty advisor for the Christian Student Association at The University of Tampa, Fall 1996 to present. The faculty advisor worked closely with the student president on such areas as coordinating meeting times, establishing study groups, and planning outside activity events for the 40 plus CSA student members. USIA Citizen Exchange Advisory Committee. Served on the committee for the USIA Citizen Exchange Program at Fitchburg State College, Fall 1995 to Summer 1996. This committee worked with the research director on a proposal for a federal research grant. College-Wide Doctoral Dissertation Committee Member. Served on the dissertation committee for Catherine Price’s doctoral dissertation titled “The Incidence of Postoperative Nausea and Vomiting and Time to Discharge from PACU in Patients Undergoing Laparoscopic Bariatric Surgery: A Retrospective Comparison Between Dexmedetomidine and Remifentanil,” Fall 2011. Lewis College of Business Intellectual Contribution Committee Member. Served on the intellectual contribution committee for the college of business at Marshall Univeristy, Fall 2002 to present. This committee performed many functions such as providing technology-related advice to COB faculty, working with technology issues for the new COB building, and examining other technology issues. College of Business International Management Group Member. Served on the college of business international management group committee at The University of Tampa, Fall 1998 to present. This committee performs many functions such as curriculum development, coordinator of international business activities, foreign exchange programs, and other overseas issues. Faculty Advisor. Served as advisor for the Student Finance Association/Financial Management Association at The University of Tampa, Spring 1998 to present. The purpose of SFA is to provide exposure to the many facets and opportunities in the field of finance. The SFA offers many benefits to its members through field trips, speakers, investment competition, and socials. Paper Reviewer. Reviewed a paper dealing with primacy bias in lending decisions written by a University of Tampa College of Business faculty member (July 1997). Chapter President of Sigma Beta Delta. Served as President for The University of Tampa’s chapter of Sigma Beta Delta, a national honor society in business, management, and administration established to encourage and recognize accomplishment among these students. This honor society inducted 28 UT students and 2 Tampa business executives in 1997. Business School Students’ Committee Member. Served on the school of business students’ committee at The University of Tampa, Fall 1996 to present. This committee performed a variety of functions including the development of academic programs necessary for business school students and the creation of a COB student handbook. Business School Home Page Committee Member. Served on the school of business home page committee at Fitchburg State College, Fall 1995 to Summer 1996. This committee developed a business faculty profile for the FSC Home Page on the Internet. Business Program For Chinese Administrators Committee Member. Served on the business program committee for Chinese administrators (from Tianjin Municipal Government) at Fitchburg State College, Fall 1995 to Summer 1996. This committee developed a curriculum for Chinese executives interested in attending classes at FSC. Graduate Business School Committee Member. Served on the graduate school of business committee at Fitchburg State College, Fall 1995 to Summer 1996. This committee developed the business curriculum for the MBA program. A variety of issues were examined including course content, field study programs, and course scheduling.

This committee developed the first finance major concentration for the day school program. Undergraduate Business School Advisor. Served as advisor for internationalizing the undergraduate finance curriculum at Fordham University. Created the first international financial management and financial markets courses offered at the undergraduate level. Fall 1992. Faculty Advisor. Served as advisor for the Finance Society/FMA at Fordham University, Fall 1989 to Spring 1993. Waterhouse, Colgate-Palmolive, Gemco Investors, Sumitomo Bank, Comart, and Northwestern Mutual Life.

• off-campus presentations - coordinated visits to such institutions as the New York Stock Exchange, the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, and the Commodities Exchange.

• AT&T Investment Challenge - registered over 300 Fordham students for this nationwide collegiate investment simulation. Fordham received national recognition since we often ranked in the top ten of the college division.

• Financial Management Association - registered over 300 Fordham students for this national association. As a results of the outstanding work of the student chapter, Fordham received national recognition for our accomplishments. We received the 1992 FMA Membership Drive Award and the 1993 FMA Honorable Mention Award.

Faculty Advisor. Served as advisor for Team Fordham, a running club composed of graduate business students at Fordham University. Our running club has successfully completed five consecutive New York City Marathons. My completion time was 4 hours for each marathon. Fall 1989 to Spring 1995.
