FRESNO SUNNYSIDE SEVENTH-DAY ADVENTIST CHURCH Sunnyside News is a weekly publication designed to inform members and subscribers of our current news and events. Passing of Eric Colombini's Father Kenneth Colombini, the father of Eric Colombini and Cory's grandfather, passed away on June 17 at 11:00 a.m. with his children by his side. Kenneth was 74 years old. Having lived his entire life in Fresno, Kenneth was well known for restoring classic cars and his excellent craftsmanship in Colombini's Auto Body Shop. He is probably best remembered for designing and building all of the trams for Manchester Mall. Local folk will remember the trams from the 1980s that would take people to and from their cars in the mall parking lot. Over the years, Kenneth won many awards for his work and passion for the restoration of classic cars. A memorial service will be held Friday, June 27 at 11:00 a.m. at the church. The Colombini family would like to encourage all those who will attend to drive their classic cars if they own one. The service will be followed by a "rod-run" and reception at Fresno Sportsmen's Club. "Eric, Cheryl and Cory wish to thank our church family for all the prayers, phone calls, thoughts and support received over the past two and years while Dad courageously battled bone cancer." Condolences may be sent to 2095 Mesa – Clovis, CA 93611. Emergency Surgery for Achsah Kerr Little Achsah was transported back to Children's Hospital this morning for emergency surgery on her intestine. The surgery went well as they found only a tiny perforation and repaired it. Taneshia shared that since they caught the infection early none of the intestine needed to be removed and she should be okay with just strong antibiotics. We will continue to pray for Achsah's healing and the development and growth of both babies. Food Pantry Set up Change The Food Pantry set-up day has been moved to Monday, this month only, as the Community Food Bank will be closed for inventory on Tuesday. So many benefits packed in such a small seed! 1) Sesame seeds are full of high quality protein making up 20 percent of the seed with 4.7 grams of protein per ounce. 2) Sesame seeds contain magnesium and other nutrients. Sesame oil has been shown to prevent diabetes, and it can also improve plasma glucose in hypersensitive diabetics. 3) Sesame seeds are full of magnesium – a key nutrient known to help lower blood pressure. 4) Sesame helps lower cholesterol levels, because it contains phytosterols that block cholesterol production. Black sesame seeds are especially high in phytosterols. 5) The high fiber content of sesame seeds helps the intestines with

elimination. 6) The high zinc content helps produce collagen, giving skin more elasticity and helping repair damaged body tissues. Regular use of sesame oil can reduce skin cancer. Sesame is good for the skin both topically and internally. Also protects against DNA damage from sun exposure. 7) Sesame seed oil can help heart health by preventing atherosclerotic lesions with the antioxidant and anti-inflammatory compound known as sesamol. 8) Sesame seeds contain anti-cancer compounds. Sesame seeds have the highest phytosterol content of all seeds and nuts. 9) Sesame seeds contain the stress-relieving minerals magnesium and calcium, also assists moods and helps you sleep deeply. 10) Black sesame seeds are particularly rich in iron, so they’re highly recommended for those with anemia and weakness. 11) The high copper content in sesame seeds prevents and relieves arthritis, and strengthens bones, joints and blood vessels. 13) Not that any of you would need this one, but you know, for your uncle…Sesame helps protect you from alcohol’s impact on your liver, helping you maintain healthy liver function. 14) A handful of sesame seeds contains more calcium than a glass of milk. Also the high zinc content of sesame boosts bone mineral density. 15) For your baby: A sesame oil massage improves growth and improves sleep. Rashes on a baby’s skin — especially where the diaper is — can be protected with sesame seed oil by rubbing it in. As a bonus, sesame also helps reverse dry skin.

As you can see, sesame seeds are a good thing to add to any diet. So open sesame!

Billy Graham's New Suit(submitted by Diane Ray)

Billy Graham is now 92 years old and has Parkinson's disease. In January, leaders in Charlotte, North Carolina, invited their favorite son Billy Graham to a luncheon in his honor.

Billy initially hesitated to accept the invitation because he struggles with Parkinson's disease. But the Charlotte leaders said, 'We don't expect a major address. Just come and let us honor you.' So he agreed.

After wonderful things were said about him, Dr. Graham stepped to the rostrum, looked at the crowd and said: "I'm reminded today of Albert Einstein, the great physicist who this month has been honored by Time magazine as the Man of the Century. Einstein was once traveling from Princeton on a train, when the conductor came down the aisle, punching the tickets of every passenger. When he came to Einstein, Einstein reached in his vest pocket. He couldn't find his ticket, so he reached in his trouser pockets.

It wasn't there. He looked in his briefcase but couldn't find it. Then he looked in the seat beside him. He still couldn't find it.

"The conductor said, 'Dr. Einstein, I know who you are. We all know who you are. I'm sure you bought a ticket. Don't worry about it.' Einstein nodded appreciatively.

The conductor continued down the aisle punching tickets. As he was ready to move to the next car, he turned around and saw the great physicist down on his hands and knees looking under his seat for his ticket.

The conductor rushed back and said, 'Dr. Einstein, Dr. Einstein, don't worry, I know who you are; no problem. You don't need a ticket. I'm sure you bought one.' Einstein looked at him and said, 'Young man, I too, know who I am. What I don't know is where I'm going.'"

Having said that Billy Graham continued, "See the suit I'm wearing? It's a brand new suit. My children and my grandchildren are telling me I've gotten a little slovenly in my old age. I used to be a bit more fastidious. So I went out and bought a new suit for this luncheon and one more occasion. You know what that occasion is? This is the suit in which I'll be buried. But when you hear I'm dead, I don't want you to immediately remember the suit I'm wearing. I want you to remember this: I not only know who I am. I also know where I'm going."
