Our Mission:The Mission of every Catholic Parish was given it by Jesus Christ when he said to the eleven “All power in heaven and earth has beengiven to me. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the HolySpirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.” (Matthew 28: 26-30) Our mission is to spread the Gospel!

Today we celebrate the Fourth Sunday of Easter. us that he is the Good Shepherd. I am the gate for the sheep.Shep Jesus reminds us that we cannot go to heaven by any other means other than Himself. We, here in this diocese, have recently been given a new shepherd to lead us in Jesusname. His prayer is for a new spirit of evangelization, leading people through this gate of Jesus. Today Bishop Barres publishes a letter asking for a daily Rosary during May, offered for this intention of evangelization in our diocese. This seems like a great request for our parish. The Rosary is very evident here: people kneeling in Church with their rosaries, people walking to and praying in front of the shrine. If we already say a daily Rosary, let us remember this intention. If we do not, maybe we would like to do so for the month of May. Remember the words of Jesus . . . Wherever two or three are gathered in my name . . . Let us continue to live in the spirit of faith! We are called to help in this work of evangelization by bringing the word of God to all we meet. May we all continue to live in the Joy of Easter! Jesus is Risen, Alleluia! Agnes Scheuermann
