Families and Friends of Corpus Christi Academy: As we continue to wrap up the 2019-2020 school year, we need to tie up all loose ends. This includes fiscally responsible use of all of the funds raised in the 2019-2020 school year as well. The efforts of our eighth grade students and families, as well as innumerable others, raised nearly $11,000.00 for our eighth grade students to attend the yearly field trip to Washington, D.C. Needless to say, their trip was unable to take place and it was another unfortunate situation that arose due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Much of those funds were raised with the help and support of Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish and Saint Clare Church. Your ability to support our students has been, and always will be, truly needed and unbelievably appreciated. This year due to the unforeseen circumstances that arose, our eighth grade students will be donating $2,000.00 towards next year’s eighth grade trip because they have been unable to begin their fundraising for the same cause. The generosity of our eighth graders knows no bounds, and is a true example of Corpus Christi Academy where we believe that with “Jesus as the Model” we can all INSPIRE, EXCEL, and SERVE. Furthermore, the remainder of the funds will be distributed to each eighth grade student equally in the form of a reimbursement for educational supplies that will aid them in their new educational endeavors in high school. Because of your generosity and that of many others, each of the eighth graders will receive reimbursement for school supplies like book bags, planners, graphing calculators, or even Chromebooks in the amount of $728.72.
