A MORIR A LOS DESIERTOS2017 / Mexico / 75 minTo Die to the Deserts
A journey about every-day life in two villages in northern Mexico: the last cradles of Cardenche, a traditional a cappella song on the path to extinction (or in a process of transformation). Through this peasant song, of the cotton hacienda workers, the film explores the dark past and present-day reality of resistance through spaces that tell the history and characters that work or sing to survive.

AYOTZINAPA2017 / Mexico / 110 minAyotzinapa
Being a student at the Escuela Normal Rural de Ayotzinapa Rural Teacher Training College, or being one of those students´ farm worker father or an indigenous mother, usually means being invisible. Their grief and their hope made them visible and perhaps also reminded us that we are not alone; we are intimately connected to them.

NOTAS PARA NO OLVIDAR2017 / Mexico / 90 minNotes Against Oblivion
Piro is a mathematician whose obsessions have been captured in three notebooks; one to keep a rigorous control over his expenses, another to remind himself of the location of the things he collects in case he ever needs them, and one more for the most important events of his life. We will use these notes as a starting point against oblivion, a journey through the lives of three generations of my family.

Juan, Pata de Perro… Cien años con Juan Rulfo2017 / Mexico / 7 chapters of 52 min
100 Years with Juan Rulfo
This series aims to explore the questions surrounding Juan Rulfo's life and his rich creative activity. More than a biographic portrait, we propose a melting pot of different views, a multitude of voices that will recover and portray the man behind the words: the father, writer, photographer, traveler, inhabitant of the troubled, complex, and fascinating Mexico of his day. Because despite the fact that Juan is no longer with us, his ideas and literary creations are as current today as they ever were.

at the Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica. He has
participated in various national and international festivals,
obtaining multiple awards for his works. He is a member of
the FONCA, National System of Creators. Currently
working on the filming of his sixth feature documentary
called Érase una vez; a reflection on children and new
generations, an allegory about the imagination and the
future. “It is important that in Mexico we find an audiovisual
language to talk about, among other things, justice and
human values, which have always been abused and
forgotten”. That's why the documentary is presented as an
optimal format to explore the changing and elusive reality
of our country.
