OVERVIEWThe KU diffusers with concentric cones are generally fitted in counter ceilings as they can be used in a wide range of commercial, work and industrial spaces with an installation height between 2,5 and 6 metres according to size and model.

KU4 series modelFixed cone aluminium diffusers, painted silver RAL 9006 or RAL 9003 with epoxy powder, complete with regulation damper.These diffusers are used for installations between 2,6 and 4,1 metres maximum.The diffuser is fixed laterally using screws to the connection piece of the duct or plenum and using the supplied fixing bridge for use in counter ceilings.

The KU2 KU5 KU6 KU8 series diffusers are composed of a fixed external cone and central part composed of individually cones that can be adjusted individually and to a millimetre. The different position of the cones allows to vary the direction of the air flow, so as to obtain horizontal air flows (in cooling) or vertical air flows (in heating). These diffusers are installed at a height ranging from 2,6 to 6 meters in height.The diffuser is fixed laterally using screws to the connection piece of the duct or plenum, alternatively they can be fitter to counter ceilings using clips. The air flow regulation is made by rising or lowering each individual cone. KU2 SeriesThese diffusers are made completely with antistatic self extinguishing ABS material painted white RAL 9010 and come complete with fixing clips for fixing to flexible ducts.Available sizes: neck size 160, 20 and 250mm.Accessories: counter ceiling fixing clips, quick fitting ABS panel 595x595mm for modular counter ceilings.Available versions: basic and another to include segmented regulation damper that can be adjusted once diffuser has been installed through the central fixed cone. KU5 SeriesComposed by aluminium cones painted white RAL 9010 with epoxy powder and micrometric galvanized carbon steel regulation screw. SERIESTECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS

OVERVIEW: The KU4 series diffusers are designed for application of air conditioning, heating, and ventilation. These diffusers are made from a series of fixed cones and are used both in the supply and extraction of air. This diffuser is equipped with an air tight gasket on the back. The standard installation height of the diffuser is between 2,6 and 4,1 meters.

MATERIALS : the KU4 series diffusers are made from extruded aluminium. The surface finish foreseen an epoxy powder paint finish in silver RAL 9006 or white RAL 9003.

INSTALLATION : The diffuser is fixed by means of two screws to the fixing bridge or directly to the plenum or ceiling. The diffuser is supplied complete with the two screws and the fixing bridge.

BUTTERFLY DAMPER : The KU4 series diffusers are supplied complete with a butterfly regulation damper. The damper is made in black PVC and is easily adjustable through the diffuser.

CONNECTION PIECE : The KU4 series diffusers can be supplied with connection piece KU 44 for connecting to the flexible duct.The KU 44 connection pieces have base supports and a fixing

INSTALLATION METHODUsing the diagram shown below, it is possible to make a first general selection of the diffuser on the basis of the air flow.It is advised in any case to check, using the diagrams of the technical data shown in the following pages, the effective compliance of the choice made and the specific intended uses of the diffuser.

OVERVIEW: The KU 2-5-6-8 series of diffusers are composed from an external containment cone and by a central adjustable section with cones that may be adjusted individually to the nearest millimetre.The different positioning of the round elements allows to vary the direction of the air to obtain combined or single are flows, both vertically or horizontally. For this reason, this supply air diffuser is ideal in all those applications where it is necessary to heat or cool. In the same way it can be used for the extraction of air from the room. The standard height of installation of the diffuser is between 2.6 and 6 metres.

INSTALLATION : The diffuser is fixed laterally using screws directly to the plenum's connection. Various clips are available to fix the diffuser to plaster board counter ceilings and versions with flat or lowered "fineline" panels for use in modular counter ceilings.

REGULATION DAMPER: The KU8 series diffusers are supplied with a butterfly regulation damper adjustable using a screw-driver from the face side of the diffuser

SERIESVERSION WITH AUTOMATIC REGULATION

WITH THERMOSTATIC SPRING

The KU5 CT diffusers allow to automatically regulate the cones in the summer or winter position without the need of a technician. The work without any auxiliary power (e.g.. electrical power supply) and do not require any maintenance. The movement of the intermediate cones is controlled by means of a special shape remembering spring who's cycle of use determines the position of the cones in relations to the temperature. In this way the flow of air is controlled in relation to the temperature, enabling the intermediate cones to be always in the optimal position, both when in the cooling and heating faze.The memory spring varies its extension within a temperature range of 14°C and 40°C.The minimum lasting time of the spring is 100,000 cycles. A cycle is given from an extension followed by a compression of the spring. If, for example, we consider to be in the position to start the system in the morning and to turn it off in the evening, the spring will last o average about 270 years. The drawings shows the two positions at full extension and full compression of the spring, the 0% position in cooling conditions and 100% position in heating conditions.

CONE REGULATIONThe technical data considers two regulation positions for the diffuser cones, "summer" and "winter".

Summer regulationThe summer regulation corresponds to the lowering of the central cones up to almost 15mm below the actual height of the ceiling.This regulation achieves a fresh air horizontal throw which, supported by the coanda effect, flows along the ceiling, gradually mixing with the air in the room therefore avoiding air currents forming with the occupied area.Winter regulationThe winter regulation corresponds to the lifting of the central cones up to almost 15mm above the actual height of the

INSTALLATION : The diffuser is fixed with laterally using screws directly to the duct or to the plenum connections. A series of clips is available to fixing to plasterboard counter ceilings and versions complete with panels for installing within modular ceilings.

SERIESOVERVIEW

PLENUM :The PP60 plenums, also named "calm cases", allow the correct entry of air in the neck of the diffuser thus ensuring that the throw of air in the room is homogenous along all the circumference of the diffuser.

Materials :PP 60 standard plenum : galvanized steel sheet. Insulation: expanded polyethylene certified for the reaction to fire according to Italian class 1.

Versions :Made from insulated steel sheet with expanded polyethylene, ideal for the supply of air, and in simple sheet steel normally used for air extraction.

Accessories:Regulation damper and equalizing net in the connection of the plenum.

SERIESINSTALLATION EXAMPLE

TECHNICAL DATA: The KT-KR series diffusers consist of an external removable panel and a plenum connected with connection above o to the side. Inside there are positioned removable deflectors that, by varying their position, allow to modify the air direction, obtaining single or combined air flows.

The front screen and the plenum have been designed without any blocking sector to guaranty the use of 100% the surface Ak maintaining unchanged the air flow, the noise level and the pressure losses. for this reason this aeraulic component is suitable in all those applications where it is necessary to hear and cool. Clearly, in the same way, it may be also used in ceilings for air extraction removing the direction components. The g of the anemostat has a range of use from 2,6 metres to amaximum of 4 meters in height.

MATERIALS : The panel in made from steel sheet with an epoxy surface treatment colour RAL 9010. The plenum is made from galvanized sheet steel.

FIXING : The plenum is fixed directly to the ceiling using support brackets.

Inside there can be positioned removable deflectors that, by varying their position, allow to modify the air direction, obtaining single or combined air flows. The use for extraction of air is normally without the use of internal deflector to reduce the pressure drop.The normal range of use is between 2.6 m and 4 m high.

MATERIALS : panel made from steel sheet with an epoxy surface treatment colour RAL 9010, frame in alluminium painted RAL 9010 and plenum made from galvanized sheet steel.

FIXING : The plenum is fixed directly to the ceiling using support brackets.In alternative, for the versions with 595x595 external frame size, the diffuser can be inserted into modular false ceiling by replacing one of the panels.

VERSIONS: versions are available:simple diffuser;simple diffuser with deflectors;diffuser filter holder without deflectors.

PLENUM: the diffuser can be integrated with steel plenum in the following versions:lower plenum with rear connection;plenum with high lateral connection.Both types of plenum may be in the non-insulated, insulated internally or externally insulated version,

MATERIALS: panel is made of sheet steel treated with epoxy powder color RAL 9010 white, RAL 9010 painted aluminum frame, plenum in galvanized steel, internal deflectors (optional) steel stretch sheet painted black.

SERIESFILTER HOLDER VERSION

The diffuser KY filter holder allows the installation of a filter 5mm thick replaceable without removing the diffuser from the ceiling.The perforated panel is connected to the frame by a hinge and held in position by two magnets.The filter is inserted in the perforated panel and fixed by three conical springs.The diffuser KYF holder can be coupled to each type of plenum.
