STEWARDSHIP SPOTLIGHT

Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament

Are you looking for ways to strengthen your relationship with

Jesus? What better way than to visit with Him every week. The

Blessed Sacrament is exposed in Mercy Chapel every Friday from

8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Adorers can spend 30 minutes to 1 hour, or

whatever time is most convenient for them in prayer or spiritual

reading. If you are willing to commit a small amount of time to

sitting with our Lord, we could really use your help. We need

people to commit to a specied time to make sure the Blessed

Sacrament is never left alone. For more information, contact

Jaime and Emy Herras at 706-569-7878 or Kathy Parsons at

706-326-1573.

“Come apart, and rest awhile,” Jesus told his disciples.

Blessed Trinity Shrine Retreat Center, located just across the Chattahoochee River in Ft. Mitchell, Alabama, is a perfect place to

escape the pressures of every day life and nourish spiritual growth in a restful, quiet, prayerful atmosphere and listen to Gods voice

deep within. Blessed Trinity Shrine Retreat offers many retreats throughout the year and they are happy to host groups who

provide their own programs. People and groups of all faiths are welcome.

Here is a list of upcoming retreats and events in which you may be interested:

The Healing Power of Kindness: Discerning the Fountain of Youth (August 30) - Fr. Matt Linn, S.J. will explore the dynamism of

kindness as it gives life rather than allowing life’s hurts to choke out our life. The fee is $50, which includes a $15 non-refundable

deposit. The retreat begins at 10 a.m. (EDT) and concludes at 3 p.m.

Turn Stressing Into Blessing (August 30-September 1) - This healing retreat will focus on how we can turn stressing into blessing as

promised in the Beatitudes and now by social scientists. The fee is $180, which includes a $40 non-refundable deposit. The retreat

begins at 7 p.m. (EDT) and ends after dinner on Sunday, September 1.

Family Fun Festival (September 14) - Enjoy a day of good food, games, arts and crafts, live music, and a silent auction. Participate in

the Fun Run, a silent auction, and/or a juried art contest (children K-12 - deadline for submissions is September 6). This day of

family fun is admission free, although donations are welcome.

Rosary for World Peace (October 13) - October is the Month of the Holy Rosary. Join the retreat house in a pilgrimage to the Grotto of

Our Lady of Grace to pray the Rosary for world peace. There will be Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament, a Blessing of the Sick,

and a chance to visit their extraordinary collection of saint relics and worldwide collection of Madonna statues. Refreshments will
