Client Information Sheet Welcome to Dress for Success Palm Beaches! Your program has referred you to Dress for Success Palm Beaches to help you take the next step towards finding employment – selecting an outfit for you to wear to your interview. All of our services are free-of-charge to our clients. Our clothes are donated and our staff is comprised of volunteers. Our goal is to help you look and feel as confident and professional as we know you are! Please treat your appointment as you would a job interview. The following information will walk you through the Dress for Success Palm Beaches’ experience: 1.) Make an appointment Your caseworker will call to schedule your appointment and fax or email a Client Referral Form to us. They will also give a copy to you as well. We will confirm your appointment with you the day before. Please call 561-249-3898 in advance if you cannot make your appointment time and let your case manager know that you cannot make your appointment so that he/she can reschedule a time for you to come in. 2.) Make travel arrangements Dress for Success Palm Beaches is located at 2459 S. Congress Ave #204, Palm Springs, FL 33406. This just north of 10 th Ave and south of Forest Hill. From the North: Bus #2 – stops at Congress/Frost. Walk 1 block south to our bldg. From the South: Bus stop 836 – stops in front of Bank of America. Walk across the street to our bldg. Plan for your appointment to last approximately one hour. 3.) Be on time Again, think of this as a job interview and make sure that you are on time. Please try not to come more than 15 minutes early so that clients scheduled before you can have the utmost privacy. Clients arriving more than 10 minutes late will not be suited. If you miss your appointment you will not be rescheduled unless your case manager contacts Dress for Success Palm Beaches, in which case every effort will be made to fit you into the schedule again. 4.) At your appointment Please do not bring any other person with you, including children. Just like in a job interview, children, friends or family will not be allowed to be with you in the boutique during your appointment. However, your caseworker or a representative from your referral agency is welcome, but not required, to come. If you have any disabilities or issues that require someone to be with you, your case manager needs to let us know ahead of time. A Personal Shopper will greet you and work with you to find just the right outfit and accessories. This is your opportunity to practice how you will act at your interview: professional and positive. Please come to your appointment with an open mind. Interview attire is not something that most of us wear every day, but it is important to follow the suggested guidelines to achieve the best professional look possible. Our Personal Shoppers have gone through extensive training to guide you in choosing the appropriate clothing for your body type and for the job you are applying for. Please be showered, clean and wearing undergarments. Failure to do so may result in the cancellation of your appointment. Every effort will be made to find appropriate interview attire for you, however, we cannot guarantee a complete outfit to everyone due to the availability of specific sizes, colors and styles. 5.) Come back! After you have successfully found employment, we welcome you to return to our boutique for additional clothing to wear to your new job. Welcome to Dress for Success Palm Beaches! Your program has referred you to Dress for Success Palm Beaches to help

you take the next step towards finding employment – selecting an outfit for you to wear to your interview. All of our

services are free-of-charge to our clients. Our clothes are donated and our staff is comprised of volunteers. Our goal is to

help you look and feel as confident and professional as we know you are!

Please treat your appointment as you would a job interview. The following information will walk you through the Dress

for Success Palm Beaches’ experience:

1.) Make an appointment

Your caseworker will call to schedule your appointment and fax or email a Client Referral Form to us. They will also give

women the very best experience and help her find the confidence she needs to make a

great impression when she goes to her job interview or the first day on the path of a new

career. By reviewing the check list, you are preparing her to get the most of what our

service has to offer.

Before sending a client to be suited, please be sure that the….

Client has gone through job training, is job ready, and actively looking for work.

We request that you call (561)-249-3898) to schedule an appointment for the client. We

book appointments on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 11:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. and the 2nd

and 4th Saturday 9:30 a.m. -12:00 p.m. we reserve these appointment for employment

suiting.

Client Referral Form (ctrl & click) has been filled out completely.

By Submitting you acknowledge that the client understands ALL of our policies and

procedures (no pets, no children, no men, no exceptions).

Client has been given her suiting appointment date and time, has been advised to bring

her resume and prepared to try on professional business attire.

Client has been advised of our locations at: 2459 S Congress Ave, Ste 204 Palm Springs Fl

33406. We expect her to arrive on time for her appointment and she will call if any changes

need to be made or if she needs to reschedule.

After sending a client to be suited, we hope that you will…

Contact the client after her interview and, if she has gotten a job, remind her that she is

eligible for a second suiting where she may get up to a week’s worth of employment

clothing. If she is interested in this service (and we are thrilled when women are!), Please let

her know to call (561)-249-3898 to schedule a second suiting with Dress for Success Palm

Beaches. Please read more about it in our Referral Agency Manual.

Congratulations and welcome to our organization! Dress for Success Palm Beaches® is very pleased to have you as a new referral agency, and we look forward to a long, mutually beneficial relationship. Dress for Success Palm Beaches will aid your clients in picking out job-appropriate clothing, coach them on job interviewing skills, as well as offer employment retention programs to those who are newly hired. In return we ask that you carefully read and follow our policies and procedures. This manual is designed to help you function effectively as a partner program. Please keep copies of it for any contacts at your agency who will be referring clients. We are happy to provide additional copies if necessary. If changes should be made to our policy, a new manual will be delivered to you. These documents are internal documents and aren’t meant to be shared directly with the clients. So How Do You Fit Into This? As the contact for your organization, your main duties involve the screening and scheduling of clients who come to the Dress for Success Palm Beaches’ boutique to receive professional clothing. We do not accept walk-in clients at any time….all clients must be referred by one of our referral agencies. A complete list of those is always available on our website at www.dressforsuccess.org/palmbeaches. Dress for Success Palm Beaches does not interact directly with the women (clients) in scheduling appointments and rely on our referral agencies to be the primary link to us. Steps in Suiting 1. CLIENT MUST BE JOB-READY: Make sure that the prospective client has undergone

thorough job training and is actively searching for a job. Dress for Success Palm Beaches suits women who are job ready, and it is your responsibility as a partner program contact to screen the women you refer to us. In our opinion, women who are job ready have a working resume, are actively searching for job interviews, they are qualified for the jobs to which they are applying, all of their basic needs are met (housing, transportation, childcare, food and the ability to shower daily), they have a good attitude, and they have the desire to WORK!

2. COMPLETE THE CLIENT REFERRAL FORM: As the agency with an established

relationship with your client, we ask that you complete ALL of the information on the form. It is mandatory information we need to provide to our worldwide office on an annual basis. The statistics we glean from these forms are used in many of our grant and funding requests.

3. CALL US TO SET UP AN APPOINTMENT. Please call our office at 561-249-3898 to schedule a client. We no longer allow agencies to pick the day and time of the appointment. We ask that the client be present when you call to schedule that appointment. This helps to reduce the number of missed appointments, as well as holds the client accountable for any missed appointments. The client should understand that this appointment should be treated as practice for their job interviews. Once you have scheduled an appointment with us, please fax or email the completed referral form to 561-249-3897 or [email protected]

4. CLIENT MUST HAVE REFERRAL FORM: Give a copy of the Client Referral Form to the client and keep a copy at your agency. Clients should also be given a copy of our Client Information Sheet. This provides all the information they need to know about their appointment including directions, rules, etc.

5. CLIENT MUST BE CLEAN: Make sure the client is showered and groomed before coming in for suiting. Clients should also be wearing appropriate undergarments (bra and underwear). Failure to do so may result in the cancellation of the appointment. Clients must not use cell phones during their appointments. As in an interview, the phones should be silenced and ignored.

6. CLIENT MUST ARRIVE ALONE AND ON TIME: We don’t allow guests to come with clients; that means no children, parents, or friends. It typically takes a full hour to provide our clients with the level of service we believe they deserve. We take note of no-shows and reserve the right to discontinue our services to your agency if it happens frequently

7. CLIENT FOLLOW-UP: Please check with her after the suiting to make sure that everything went well. If there is relevant feedback, whether positive or negative, please let us know so we can make adjustments!

For a Second/Employment Suiting 1. Once your client has received a job, please make sure she knows that she can come in for a

second suiting (or employment suiting). Women who have successfully landed a job can come back to us and pick out up to one week’s clothing (dependent on our stock).

2. The process is the same for the second/employment suiting as it is for the initial suiting, so please follow the steps above. The client must provide proof of employment. This could be a letter of intent to hire, a schedule, a copy of the front page of an employee handbook, a copy of the first pay stub, etc.
