WINTER APPEAL – CAN YOU HELP?
Now that the weather is becoming colder, Fr Keith has received an appeal for men’s
thermal underwear which will be distributed to the homeless.
If you can help, please leave donations at the back of Corpus Christi or St Peter’s when
you come to Mass or put through the presbytery letter box.
Pre-loved BooksI have now stocked up with lots of pre- loved children’s books including Christmas and activity books. If you would like a bag £10, just let me know gender and age and I can drop off or arrange to bring to outside of church or to school.Thank you for all your support - the funds raised go to support the homeless and those in need in our community. FOOD COOP UPDATE
Over the last week 48 people collected food and 7 food parcels were delivered. Of the 55, 31 were families and 24 were single people. There were 4 people from the local community.
Donations of food have been received from local churches and individual supporters. The fresh fruit and vegetables are particularly appreciated, and thanks to the generosity, there is always enough to go round. We also benefitted this week from fresh vegetables and fruit from Fareshare that gave a good variety to what was on offer.
Over the last couple of months one of our regular local ladies has been encouraged to take the fresh fruit and vegetables. She admitted she didn’t really buy it before but is now regularly making broth. Today she was saying what a difference it has made for her.
Many thanks for your continued support and commitment. Kind regards, Kath
