n its most recent LicensingAuthority bulletin, the Gam-bling Commission has
reviewed the UK’s legislative land-scape of 2013 as well as taking a lookat the prevailing market trends.
Last year, the Responsible Gam-bling Trust published the first phaseof its research into gamingmachines in Great Britain. Thereport is a first step in an ongoingresearch programme commis-sioned by the RGT in order to betterunderstand how people behavewhen playing on those gamingmachines offering the higheststakes and prizes, and what helpspeople to stay in control and playresponsibly. The first stage lookedat transactional data which will pro-vide a solid basis for the next stageof the research which will look atthe patterns around consumerbehaviour when playing thesegaming machines.
Meanwhile, licensing Authoritieshave been reminded that holdersof an AGC or bingo premises licencegranted on or after 13 July 2011 aresubject to a change in the maximumpermitted number of category B3and B4 machines that can be sitedon a premises. From 1 April 2014,the maximum permitted numberof B3 and B4 gaming machines onany one site will be limited to 20 percent of the total number of gamingmachines made available for use.Any AGC or bingo premises licencesthat were granted before 13 July2011 are not affected by this change. The DCMS first announced thesechanges in July 2011.
To help local authorities withtheir responsibilities under the Act,the Commission has collated caselaw that it believes will help localauthorities in the interpretation andapplication of the Act.
The Commission has nowreceived approximately 70responses to the consultations on
proposed changes to licence con-ditions and codes of practice(LCCP), which closed on 4 Decem-ber 2013. The Commission stated:“We are currently reviewing theseformal responses and are develop-ing final changes, taking account ofcomments made during work-shops held during the consultationperiod. It is expected that the finalversion of LCCP will be publishedin early spring 2014. The new andamended LCCP may come intoforce in a phased manner from earlysummer 2014.”
Since 1 October 2013, variouschanges to the Primary Authority
scheme have been in force and age-restricted sales of gambling in Eng-land and Wales are now in scope, with Primary Authority guidanceavailable on the Better RegulationDelivery Office website. The firstgambling Primary Authorityscheme to be established isbetween Ladbrokes and MiltonKeynes who are discussing thedevelopment of an inspection plan, which will be shared with all licens-ing authorities via the BRDO web-site when finalised. TheCommission is aware of, andinvolved in, early stage discussionsabout other potential partnerships.
Finally, looking to the near future, the Commission will hold its thirdannual seaside summit withcoastal/seaside resorts LicensingAuthorities on 12 February 2014 atits offices in Birmingham. Updateswill be provided on social responsi-bility, Primary Authority, lotteriesand prize competitions as well asthe Commission’s priorities for2014/15.

councils the power to banhigh-stakes B2 machinesfrom licensed bookmakers.
Opposition leader EdMiliband has alreadypledged to curb the FOBT‘epidemic’ if his partyregains power, while minis-ters are waiting on theresults of a review of themachines’ impact.
Ed Miliband has said thatFOBTs are “spreading likean epidemic”. He hasvowed to amend planninglaws in England, Scotland
and Wales to curb theirgrowth if Labour regainspower.
There are 33,284 fixed-odds betting terminalsacross the UK, according tothe latest Gambling Com-mission figures, making£1.5bn per annum. Labourhas said some players areaddicted to them and theyare causing “debt andmisery”, as well as acting asa magnet for crime and anti-social behaviour. The partyhas accused the bettingindustry of targetingpoorer parts of the country.
The average weekly
profit per B2 machine in2012 was £825, up from£760 in 2011, according tothe Gambling Commission, while the number of bet-ting shops in the UK hasincreased from 8,500 to9,100 over the past twoyears.
In December 2013,Miliband said that the cur-rent limit of four per bettingshop had led to clustering, with councils powerless toact. He said a Labour gov-ernment would legislate toput LBOs in a separate useclass so that councils coulduse planning powers to
control the number open-ing in their area.
The party would alsoreview the number of B2machines allowed on book-makers’ premises - includ-ing allowing councils toban them altogether as wellas making it a legal require-ment for timed breaks inplay.
The government has not
ruled out taking action tocut the stakes and prizes onFOBTs, with a study intowhat harm is being causedto individual players due tobe published this year. TheLiberal Democrats voted togive councils the power tolimit the number of book-makers in their area at theirparty conference in Sep-tember.
Labour to push forCommons FOBT vote
The Labourparty is set touse anopposition daydebate in theHouse ofCommons toforce a vote onwhethercouncils shouldbe able to banFOBTs in theirarea.
POLITICS
The debate surrounding the poten-tial conversion of a Havant pub into
an AGC continues to rumble on.Opposition to turning the White Hartinto an adult gaming centre has comein the form of a letter from CanonPeter Jones, who said the develop-ment was inappropriate directly oppo-site St Faith’s Church and a warmemorial.
Heritage Property Southern appliedto Havant Borough Council for achange of use, including installingaround 60 electronic bingo terminals
and up to 35 slot machines, but HavantCivic Society opposed the develop-ment and the council received a peti-tion of 69 signatures.
Applications are discussed throughpublic debate at the council’s planningcommittee, where councillors thenvote, but the council decided toapprove the development through del-egated powers without it going tocommittee.
Jones, of St Faith’s Church, toldlocal press: “We would be interestedto see how the officers have justifiedthe decision. In the course of time, wewill want to interrogate the council as
to why they felt that it could beaccepted in the easiest way possible.”
Tim Dawes, from Havant Civic Soci-ety, added: “Can you imagine what’sgoing to happen the next time wehave a memorial service and peopleare playing fruit machines nearby?”
A council report stated: “While theconcerns raised are understood, it isnot considered that there are anylegitimate means in terms of planninglegislation to object to the proposeduses on moral grounds. The proposeduses are legal and are subject to sep-arate licensing rules, they also repre-sent appropriate town centre uses.”

ndustry stalwartEddie Moss diedlast week, at the age
of 86. Moss started in the amuse-ment and gaming machineindustry back in the 1960s
when he was a pioneeringoperator in Leeds. Follow-ing this, he set up Tic TacToe, a distribution com-pany, which specialised infruit machine sales andintroduced NSM juke-boxes to the UK. Duringthis time, he also spent 15years on the ATA NorthernSection Committee - theforerunner to BACTA.
Whilst running Tic TacToe, Alan Blackapproached Moss with theidea to manufacture Britishjukeboxes. Moss recog-nised the potential of theplan and provided thefinancing to set up SoundLeisure, in return for a halfshare in the business. The
pair remained lifelongfriends and, as Black remi-nisced, “never exchangeda cross word in 37 years ofbusiness together”.
Moss retained an office atSound Leisure from thestart and was often to befound at his desk with hisbeloved dogs. His last visitto the office was in October.
“Eddie was like an uncleto Mike, myself and my kidsand like a brother to myfather. We all often wentaway together on holidayand have some wonderfulmemories. Eddie was a truegentleman and eventhough this is not unex-pected, the loss of Eddie isdevastating to us all,” said
Chris Black. In his latter years, Moss’s
love of travel was leg-endary and he and his wifeIrene would spend severalmonths abroad every year.
Along with his familyand his work, Moss’s othergreat passion was RugbyLeague. He was made theLeeds Rhinos Club Patron

Councillors from both sides ofthe chamber have voted to
bring Blackpool’s tourism com-pany back in-house. The movemeans Marketing Blackpool willnow be formally wound up with allits assets and liabilities transferredback to the council. This includesdebts of £288,000 which includeslosses from 2013’s IlluminationsSwitch-On ceremony.
Tourism marketing will beabsorbed into the council direc-torate headed by Alan Cavill, assis-tant chief executive forregeneration. Council leaderSimon Blackburn told a meeting ofthe full council: “I believe this deci-sion was right to take. I agree thereneeds to be a tourism head in Black-pool and people can expect anannouncement about that in duecourse. The former managing direc-tor has chosen to move on. I amhappy that Mr Cavill’s directorateis the right place for this to sit.”
Marketing Blackpool was set uptwo years ago as an “arms lengthcompany” to encourage privatesector involvement in tourismalthough it was council financed.
Cllr Blackburn said one aim hadbeen to try and scale back theannual expense of the Switch-Onevent which was costing the coun-cil, on average, around £150,000 ayear. He told local press: “We hadhoped that by Marketing Blackpooltaking a more commercialapproach to the Switch-On that, over a period of time, the contribu-tion by the council would lessenuntil we reached a point where netcontribution to the Switch-On waszero. To be fair to Marketing Black-pool, there was never an expecta-tion that net cost would be zero inthe first year but clearly I shared thedisappointment the loss was whatit was. But there was a specific setof circumstances.”
Last year’s event saw The Scriptpull out at the last minute, withGary Barlow stepping in to replacethem in return for a donation toChildren In Need. It meant theSwitch-On made a loss of £372,109.

Entry prices at Blackpool Pleasure Beach are tobe frozen during 2014 in an effort to boost visi-
tor numbers. With many potential customers stillrecovering from the credit crunch, management atthe leisure resort are hoping that the promise of astall on price rises will encourage visitors to makethe trip.
The news follows a 2013 price drop, which sawadult tickets fall from £35 to £29.99 and child faresfrom £30 to £26.99. New offers will also be intro-duced during 2014 to provide discounts for thosewho book more than 10 days in advance or whopurchase family tickets for three or more people. The Pleasure Beach also hopes to entice guestsduring its low season with a cut-price entry wrist-band priced at £15.99.
The decision to freeze entry fees comes as sur-rounding attractions continued to increase theirfees during 2013. The viewing platform, ballroomand circus for Blackpool’s famous Tower each raisedtheir charges by around £1-2 during the year, as didthe local Sealife Centre and Madame Tussauds.
With it’s winter break drawing to a close, Black-pool Pleasure Beach will reopen on Saturday 8 Feb-ruary, 2014 and continue with a weekend-onlyschedule until 1 April. Guests can then visit duringevery day of the week until the next winter closureon 2 November.
The park’s newest attraction is the Wallace andGromit Thill-O-Matic, which takes guests through aseries of scenes from the duo’s famous on-screenadventures.

easide locations aretaking repeated bat-tering from wind and
water as powerful gusts con-tinue to pummel the coast.Locations in the south andwest of England have beenmost adversely affected, with key resorts such asWeston-Super-Mare, andeven as far north as lackpool, suffering extensive damage.
In Blackpool, high windsduring the past week havehit locations that werealready recovering from £1mworth of damage suffered inlate 2013. Following a recentstorm, a number of streetswere closed or inaccessibleand the nearby CleveleysPromenade had been shutdown. In the town itself thecouncil worked fruitlessly topump water from the Prom-
enade as it poured in fromthe rising sea.
The historic North Pier, which is currently undergo-ing renovation, was sub-jected to serious damage atthe hands of high winds.Having originally opened in1863, the pier’s wooden con-struction was badly splin-tered in the storms of lateDecember, 2013 and contin-ued to suffer as bad weatherextended into the new year.
This damage occurreddespite a £100m sea walldesigned to protect Black-pool from high tides. Aninvestigation has beenlaunched into their suitabil-ity after the defences werebreached for a second timein the past week.
In many locations onlook-ers ignored government
warnings to avoid theseafront. During the badweather that hit the townshortly after the New Year, around 40 people gatheredon Clevedon Promenadenear Weston-Super-Mare tocapture the waves on theircameras.
Unlike many other areas ofthe country, the seaside resortwas protected from the worstof the damage by a £29mpackage of sea defencesinstalled in 2010. However, local amusement businessesstill suffered, as the local coun-cil advised visitors and resi-dents to stay away fromspecific areas, including theGrand Pier and Seaquarium.
Many other resort townswere also affected. Badweather in the past weekprompted the Environment
Agency to issue a severeweather warning for floodsin Bournemouth, indicatingthat there was a “danger tolife” for anyone who ven-tured onto the seafront. InBrighton violent tides pro-pelled shingle onto thepromenade, covering pathsand benches in small stones, while around 9 feet of cliff-face fell into the sea at Bir-ling Gap near the seasidetown of Eastbourne.
Travel to and from seasidelocations has also becomeperilous for many tourists, with roads shut and trainsdisrupted across the coun-try. Almost 100 flood warn-ings were issued for stormsin early January, with windsof up to 70 mph and around1.5 inches of rain expectedto hit parts of the country.
Seaside resorts enduresevere winter storms
Coastal resorts across the UK have endured months of persistent storms since bad weatherbegan in late 2013.

STRONG POUND THREATENSUK TOURISM
Tourism group Visit Britain haswarned that the UK’s improving econ-omy could damage the nationaltourism industry. They fear that theincreasing strength of the Poundagainst the Euromeans that thecountry riskslosing its statusas a “value formoney” destination. The industrygroup issued the warning alongsidepredictions that the number oftourists visiting Britain will increaseby 2 per cent to 32.6m during 2014.

EVENTS
EAG 2014
n January 21-23, EAG International2014 will open its doors at ExCeLLondon, with visitors flocking from
around the world to experience the latestinnovations from over 180 manufacturersand service providers.
London has hosted an amusements andcoin-op show for over 70 years but, not sur-prisingly, the format has changed signifi-cantly. EAG International chairman MartinBurlin explains: “EAG International was bornfour year ago because there was a desirefrom within our industry for a focused showwhich gave the industry its own identity. Intoday’s fast-moving business environmentit’s possible to be pulled in a variety of direc-tions as new opportunities arise. Sometimesit’s good to stop, reflect, and remember whatwe set out to do.
“This is particularly important in the areaof communications to exhibitors and visi-tors to the show,” Burlin added. “After all, anexpo is purely about communication, whether it be product information, discus-sions about the trading environment orinformal networking. As show organisersit’s our responsibility to ensure that all ofour communications about the show andits participants are relevant, unambiguousand timely.
“As the event draws close and the excite-ment builds, so does the level of information,as exhibitors wish to inform of new prod-ucts and initiatives, whilst other organisa-tions need to alert visitors to special eventsat and around the show. Last year we turnedto new media as a way of reaching visitors, both in the weeks building up to the show
and during the event itself. Many of our par-ticipants were already active on social media, but we knew that we had to be proactive inassisting the flow of information.”
EAG International 2013 saw the success-ful launch of EAG Live, the show’s newmedia campaign, designed to help partici-pants extract every last ounce of value fromtheir time at the show.
Exhibitors, visitors, trade associationsand other interest groups can now submitnews, views, product information, videolinks and photos via Twitter, using the#EAGLIVE hashtag.
Also new for 2014 is the capability forexhibitors and other participants to submitproduct information, news releases andother information direct to EAG Interna-tional’s media relations team.
EAG Live will be active throughout theshow, with the events team visiting standsto gather information, photos and videofeeds for immediate posting. Alternatively, information can be dropped off at the EAGLive office in the show’s Media Village.
“This is a marvellous opportunity forexhibitors to communicate before, duringand after the show,” Burlin said. “This isabout as current and targeted as it gets; weurge everyone to participate in EAG Live.”
EAG 2014: Leveraging new media, welcoming new companies
As preparations for the 2014 edition of EAG International reach the final stages, the event’s organisershave implemented new technologies to help exhibitors promote their products and services in real time.

his year’s raft ofshows presents agreat opportunity for
us all. Forgive me the cliché,but the painful truth is thatyou only tend to miss some-thing when it’s gone. Previewand Norbreck Castle anyone? While times change andthings move on, both thoseshows were relevant andtimely in their day, until cir-cumstances prevailed andthey disappeared from theshow calendar.
This month, for those ofyou vacationing on Marssince Earls Court shut upshop, heralds coin-op’sbiggest UK-based show - theEAG International at ExCel.Of equal interest to me, andI’ll confidently predictlegions of operators, are theprovincial shows around thecountry throughout the yearwhich are hosted by manu-facturers and distributorswith a view to creating asbuoyant a market as prevail-ing economic conditions willallow. Let’s not forget eitherthat while the ICE show nextmonth is aimed squarely atthe casino and betting sec-tors, there is certainly an ele-ment of cross-over intocoin-op and if nothing elseworth a visit to keep abreastof what’s out there in termsof business opportunities inour industry.
Of course, EAG Interna-tional is certainly no one-offevent. As we all know it hasestablished itself in the high-tech surroundings of ExCelas well as proving that with abit of bottle, dialogue andambition can go a long, long
way when it comes to host-ing something that coin-opstakeholders from all over theworld can make good, prof-itable use of.
While a much bigger pro-portion of communicationand networking is doneonline these days, (clichéalert, sorry) there’s quitesimply no substitute for meet-ing the people you’re doingbusiness with in the flesh andchecking out their productsup close and personal.
I’m a major fan of tradeshows, large and small, as likeit or not they do offer up aflavour of where the industryis and, indeed, where it maybe heading. While the days ofpulling the cheque book outof your pocket and arrangingfor someone to cart off apiece of equipment arelargely well behind us, a dayor two at any UK-based tradeshow allows us all to accu-rately assess the state of themarket - and hopefully do adeal or two that suits both thebuyer and the seller.
Besides prosperity for all,and some serious, definitivegovernmental interventionon the FOBT front, my wishfor 2014 is that the coin-opsector remembers howimportant its customers are.By this, I don’t mean themachine buyers, although ofcourse they need love andattention too, I mean theperson in the arcade, pub, bingo hall, working men’sclub or FEC who shoves thatfirst coin in and likes whatthey see so much that theyshovel a few more in for goodmeasure.
All showsoffer newopportunities
AWolverhampton ten pinbowling centre has gone up
in flames, according to theExpress & Star. A landmarkbowling alley has collapsed in ahuge inferno. Paul andNathiena Williams, who live onBushbury Lane opposite thebuilding, caught the dramaticscene on camera and sent it into the Express & Star.
Plumes of smoke billowedinto the sky while roaringflames leaping from Strykersbowling alley glowed blue dueto the intensity of the heat fromthe fire which ravaged theclosed-down complex.
Dozens of firefighters werefaced with a ‘fierce and intense’blaze as they battled to bring itunder control.
Loud popping sounds, alongwith explosions and crashes, could be heard, as part of thebuilding crumbled two daysbefore Christmas. For threehours, fire crews fought theblaze defensively from the out-
side as chiefs feared that thebuilding was structurallyunsafe and likely to collapse.
As the fire took hold, policeextended the cordon, and theside wall and back of the build-ing started to collapse.Bystanders watched as flamesleapt through the glass-frontedentrance, walls collapsed andnearby trees caught fire.
Elsewhere, a Stoke WorkingMen’s Club has taken on theduties of a local communitycentre which was forced toclose a year ago, according tothe Stoke Sentinel. The NortonCommunity Centre had fallenvictim to council cuts as fund-ing for dozens of similar cen-tres across the Potteries waswithdrawn to save cash.
Hundreds of people usingthe St Nicholas Avenue centrefor bingo, dancing, clubs andevents were left devastatedwhen its doors were closed forgood in January 2013 afterserving the area for 51 years.
But now its former membershave given a nearby working-men’s club a new lease of lifeand a £6,000 makeover after itsowners stepped in and offeredthe use of the club for theiractivities.
Norton Working Men’s Clubsecretary, Eddie Chell, said therefurbishment marked a newbeginning for the venue. Theclub’s management is evenconsidering renaming thevenue as Norton Social andCommunity Club.
Chell said: “We’ve joinedforces. When the centre closedit really upset a lot of people, especially the hundreds ofpeople who went to the bingothere every week. Initially, I juststepped forward to say theycould use my club for bingo ifthey wanted. But it has becomemore than that now. Over theyear more and more peoplehave been coming, not just forthe bingo but to use the club’sfacilities. And then a few

months ago they suggestedthey use some of the old man-agement committee’s money tospruce up the place a bit. Now itlooks brilliant. It’s really broughtit into the 21st century and it’smoved away from the old-fash-ioned workingmen’s club look.”
An additional 200 people areusing the club every week.Chell said the extra patronshave given the club’s profits an£8,000 boost.
He added: “This is a difficultenvironment to be successful inat the moment, so we’re reallypleased at the extra patronage. It’s quite something that our bartakings have actually gone upwhere elsewhere they arefalling.”
Mick Salih, who helped runthe Norton Community Centre, said: “When the communitycentre closed, there were somewho didn’t come with us to theworkingmen’s club. It wasstrange at first trying to getused to a new atmosphere. But
more and more people comeevery week. We’ve brightenedthe club up a bit now and we’relooking to the future in terms ofwhat else we will run out ofthere. We don’t miss the councilbreathing down our necks.”
And finally, 31-year-oldMichael Thomasson of Buffalo,NY, is the newly crowned worldrecord holder for having thelargest collection of videogames, with 11,000 of them, according to the Mercury News.Along with the games, he hasthe devices to play them on -such as 1995’s Casio Loopy, theonly game system specificallygeared toward girls, and thePippin, released by Apple thesame year.
Thomasson began collectingalmost immediately, but thepath to the world record had acouple of restarts. He sold offhis collection twice, first in 1989to raise money for a Sega Gene-sis (aka Mega Drive), then againto pay for his 1998 wedding.
Since then, Thomasson hasrebuilt the collection, averagingtwo games per day on a strict$3,000-a-year budget. He esti-mates the collection is wortharound $700,000. Thomassondesigns games and teaches 2Danimation, game design andthe history of video games atCanisius College in Buffalo.Guinness lists the number ofgames in Thomasson’s collec-tion at 10,607, though he saidthe number exceeds 11,000now, a year after the officialcount and after discovering for-gotten stashes of games afterthe counting crew left.
“At the heart of every successful business is leadership. The clear leader is typically theowner, who builds a management team. Often one member of the team runs the day-to-day business operations. Then it happens: One of the key members of the team givesnotice. He’s leaving. Where? To a competitor. Ouch!”
IRV BLACKMAN, VENDING TIMES
No changes that affect land-based casinos have occurred
since implementation in 2007 ofthe Gambling Act 2005. The Gam-bling Act 2005 removed the mem-bership requirement for casinosand bingo halls as well as the 24-hour waiting period for member-ship. It introduced a regulatoryframework for remote gamblingwithin the UK and created theGambling Commission.
There are 2,729 gamingmachines in casinos, most of them(2,682) category B1 machines. These machines generated aprofit of £129m in 2010-2011.There are 6,190 tables (countingroulette seats as an individualtable) in the UK.
In its submission to the UK Com-petition Commission regarding theproposed acquisition of Gala casi-nos by Rank Group plc, Gentingnoted more than half of the bricksand mortar gambling in the UK isnow controlled by two largeMalaysian-controlled companies.
In January 2013, the UK gov-ernment began a consultationinto gambling machine stake andprize limits with the reintroduc-tion of the so-called triennialreview system.
A great deal of debate has beengenerated around the vexed issueof FOBTs in UK betting shops, which critics contend have intro-duced casino-type gaming intohigh street betting shops.
The UK government has indi-cated it would prefer to take noaction on the issue of FOBTs(defined as B2 machines) until thestudy into gaming machines by theRGT has been completed. Addi-tionally, the government has indi-cated it would like to raise themaximum stake from £2 to £5 forB1 casino gaming machines (tech-nically defined as B1 machines).
A total of 146 casinos and twolicensed card clubs operate in theUK. Two casino groups operate themajority of casinos: Genting UKwith 44 casinos and Rank Groupwith 55 casinos.
The UK’s casinos saw total rev-enues of £872m (€1.035bn) in2012, a 9.4 per cent jump on the pre-vious year, as table games grew theirtakings by 9.6 per cent and slot rev-enues swelled by 8.4 per cent.
More visitors than ever beforecame to the UK’s casinos in 2012with a total of 18,240,000 visits, up4.9 per cent on the year before, andBritain’s casinos employed 14,323staff, a 6.6 per cent increase on theyear before as nearly 900 new jobswere created.
London’s high-end casinos havecontinued to outperform thosecasinos designated as “OtherLondon” and “Provinces” in termsof growth in table game drop, andexperienced a particular boostfrom the 2013 Champions Leaguefinal that took place in London.
All of the UK’s provincialregions are decelerating in termsof casino growth in drop and win, although Scotland is the onlyregion which has entered negativegrowth territory.
Machine Games Duty was intro-duced on February 1, 2013, replac-ing the former AmusementMachine Licence Duty with aneffective 20 per cent taxation rateon machines in casinos and adultgaming centres.
There are now two “large” casi-nos, in London and MiltonKeynes, operating with Gam-bling Act 2005 licences. Theothers operate within GamingAct 1968 limits. London casinoshave outperformed theirregional rivals in terms of tablegaming as spend by foreign gam-blers has remained strong.
London leads way inUK table gaming spend“Riyadh is the big-population, major demand capital city of the
biggest market and the biggest operators. An appreciation ofamusement games in the Middle East begins here and it’s nowonder that the delegations from each big operator are wel-comed with open arms at IAAPA and they are the biggest buyersat DEAL. One operator alone has over 4,000 games - big num-bers in this region.”
DAVID SNOOK, INTERGAME
“Cash handling is a well-known subject, but what’s interestingto me is how many of the sector’s main companies are nowdiversifying out of the amusement sector and into other, non-related areas.”
JONATHAN SWIFT, EUROSLOT
“The Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) is resolutely determinedto secure reform of the beer tie as operated by the large pubcos. As a consumer group, we want to see a thriving, healthy anddiverse pub sector.”
MIKE BENNER, CAMRA
The European CasinoAssociation’s EuropeanCasino Industry Report for2013 was published recentlyand the document featured alow-down on the UK highstakes gaming sector.
